Over the winter Matt got the frame and body of our Model T Roadster blasted and and its finally time to get started on the project!! The first step in the process is fixing all of the sins from years of dirt track racing. Love this project. It takes me back to the 50's when my Dad and his partner were building their dirt track cars. It made me smile at the extra work you're putting into this car. I know why you're doin it and I agree with it completely but back then those cars were only expected to last one or two seasons at the most and the extra work wasn't deemed necessary. It wasn't uncommon to see one or two old race cars in someone's backyard for spare parts destined for the scrap yard. Crying shame. I'm so glad that you are taking the effort to preserve these pieces of history.

I look forward to all the new projects, but I have been waiting for this one since the video where you picked it. You do such a good job with recording these---just enough video to show what is being done and not endless minutes of grinding and welding time filler. Thanks for the information and the presentation in all your videos.

Have you ever thought of getting a body/frame rotisserie? Makes it easier to get bottom & sides as you can just spin it.
  • Personnaly glad to see you wearing ear protection when appropriate! This is a nice project. New and different challenges you will need to surmount. Keep you sharp!
  • This is gonna be a really cool project. One more old race car saved!
  • Two men have a guaranteed spot in heaven. The vice grip and ratchet wrench inventors. Nice work men.

Nice job, I guess you're making this frame safer 😎👍

Speeding up the great video with music playing during a mundane period is absolutely brilliant, Mike! The progress on the frame was stellar! What a great way to start the day! Thank you guys!
  • Great work on that gram Matt. Some nice fabrication and strengthening. Thanks for sharing

  • Morning Matt & crew, I did the same on my 31 Ford Frame, chassis jig, painted the inside of the frame rails before boxing, I must have done it right(Lol)!
  • Great show today, Matt! WOW! Talk about doing a "little" welding, geez, tig welding the entire length of the frame had to of taken all day! Thanks for showing everyone how you really take your time to make sure that it's going to be safe and straight as an arrow. ✌️😃👍
