moon setting sun has yet to rise

The sun was under the horizon still to the East Northeast while the full and fully lit moon dropped below the Southwestern horizon. The moon is obviously not lit by the sun unless the light bends around the curve or passes through the Earth to light it up. Since neither of those scenarios are possible according to physics then the moon must be self luminous.
