The Storytime Animation Iceberg Explained

Hello everyone I'm GMaskDrawz, and I created this iceberg. If you are reading this: than thank you. Thank you for watching this video and giving so much love to RT60 for making this video and giving so much apperciation to my unintentional magnum-opus. I honestly never thought something I have made during a weird time in my life would ever get this much attention. Let alone anything I have ever created and such. To all those who have been mentioned in the video/iceberg and have actually watched through the end, thank you so much for bringing me and many others so much entertainment over the past years and even decade or so. And as for you: RT60, I'll say this again to you: It still baffels me that there are actual people, like me who care so much about this part of the YouTube Animation community to the point where I still sometimes get questions about this iceberg even to this day and that people have actually seen this entire video from beggining to end. StoryTime and Animation as a whole on the internet means so much to me as a person, it helped me through some very tough times in my life, and it is indeed as the people say: poggers. So thank you RT60 for making this video, and you're welcome for helping you out with some of the entires. I wish I wrote all of this sooner than later but, oh well. If the stories about eating disorders, abuse, grooming, rape or any other very hard to face topic make 10 milion people uncomfortable but makes 1 person feel less isolated and helps them find their voice then it's worth it.

What Alex did to Jaiden was so horrible. Jaiden's one of those storytime animators that is still genuine. Seeing her and Jschlatt interact was amazing. They couldn't be anymore different but make it work.

I rememeber doing streams to work on the Every STA, it was really hard trying to make jokes without being an asshole and just keep it at jabs for everyone, including the viewers. Finding the rabbit hole of milking STAs how everyone shits on the animators without knowing there is more people in the background was something neet to know. I got some "they hate you" on certain ST peeps, but knowing all of this from the community, despite looking into it and having viewers helping me feels like "OH MY GOD!!!!!" and I am so happy Jacadamia is better!!! the biggest W!!!! Amazing Iceberg RT! this is the first time I watch an entire Iceberg vid, it was really fun to watch!!

As a Christian, I feel so sorry for Shgurr. The mission president and his wife or whoever those people were should be ashamed of themselves for treating her that way.

i remember watching alex clarks vidcon vid before he took it down. jaidens face reveal made me realize it was him, and i just felt disgusted. i never liked alex clark and his personality in general, but the fact that he would just ignore someone and their problems like that rly makes me wonder how he still has a following.

Kinda sad Tabbes wasn't mentioned (unless I missed it) her videos were overall pretty dark compared to others and a good amount of them border on disturbing, there's a general sense she's had a pretty rough life from even small mentions of her family life, and childhood, plus her going through a military program is pretty interesting compared to other stories

I miss DanPlan, I always used to watch their videos before the team was falling apart. It was devastating for me to see the group of friends I loved and cherished fall from grace.

The fact the Keemstar called James “lazy” I find absolutely ironic. Dude, you piggyback off of other’s success, and you have the GALL to call James LAZY? Keemstar is unworthy and dishonorable.

For Shgurr, she has written this on her Toxic Animation meme video: "I know I've been gone for quite some time. I went through surgeries in order to walk again, I was able to fully heal so now im coming back to YouTube. BUT I'm no longer a storytime person. I left the community unsubbed from that stuff, got off a lot of social media. I'm sorry about the videos I made. I was suicidal once I left YouTube again but since then I've made great strides and I don't want to be represented by that content any longer. Especially the depression vids. I didn't know how to live correctly BRUH IM SO SORRY I WAS GRASPING FOR STRAWSSSS I had to do a lot of self work and now I'm so much better mentally, I'll never go back there. I was broadcasting my mental illness and didnt know it. LIKE LEGIT. SO. From now on I'm going to be focusing on music vids, short films, and my own original characters. I know people want to hear about my life and stuff but I've deemed that too personal to put out now. Gotta be my friend irl now OOF but that's better for me and better in the long run. You've seen all the drama that channels get into and I'm not on youtube for that. I'm here to make stuff that I can be proud of. This meme kinda showed the struggle I was facing. My real self vs my mental instability side. They've come together and now I'm whole again. I think it’s also important to recognize TurtleAmigo, another animator who we lost recently. A great inspiration and a great guy. He only lived until 25. May he rest in peace.

As a mormon myself, do not push people to their absolute limits. Shgrr’s story should have never happened if these people would have understood what she was going through. That is not how mormons, or anyone should act. Religious examples can prove that. Not to mention, Missions are not even mandatory. This is ridiculous.

there was one tabbs video that i feel like never gets talked about. Tabbs once uploaded a video about her family and her dad being abusive to her. I remember she talked about one time when her father forced her to walk outside around a park during a winter blizzard right after she had taken a shower, and she almost froze to death. She also talks about how he used to break her things and her door i think. that video was taken down almost immediately, but I watched the whole thing and I can never forget it.

I remember watching shugurrs video where she almost comities suicide. I was to young to know what was happening or truly understand what was she was going through. It wasn’t until I almost commited suicide when I remembered a that small part of that video and made me rethink. There were of course many other factors that prevented me from committing suicide, but this was one of them.

as a d-list storytime animator (i say that cuz i'm not on the iceberg even though I was in the community and friends with a lot of folks on the iceberg) that was there during all of this I just gotta say...what a crazy time it was, bro

Gosh I really did watch so much STA content that I pretty much recognized like 95% of all this. After all these years and drama, I gotta say that Shgurr overall became my favorite animator. Her sweet and genuine personality is what brought her character to life, and her art really improved over the years. I’m glad she took time to recover cause that shit she went through was brutal. I’m close to graduating from art college and compared to when I started watching her in high school I can really appreciate her skills as a storyteller for animation. Unlike most other STA’s I found myself inspired more from her to create original stories, like how she’s approaching her channel now.

24:50 bob had sneaked into Anthony's office while he was talking to Jaden. Again in 30:59 you can see bob. 39:20 bob as turned into giraffe bob and is now planning to destroy the world. 43:35 the giraffe bob was actually his evil brother. 50:32 bob is now staring into your soul while you broke his rule of not researching.
