What will happen to your empire after you are gone?

My book “Josie’s Journey” is a not a motorcycle book, but rather a spiritual tale told in the story of one man’s journey to freedom. However, Josie’s is not a flowery yarn, nor does it venture anywhere near the sterile cleanness or deep phycological thought of many spiritual books:

Zelle. A Canadian couple (who recently canned their PP) turned me on to this one. Supposed to be super easy and uses no middleman. It’s in the app store. You just need my email: [email protected]

Good points were made in the video. What I got out of it was; ... buying/owning things should serve one's journey. Maybe it's a boat, golf clubs, motorcycle, sports car, music instrument, family cars/vehicle, or home. When one owns something that no longer serves a purpose, the journey, it's time to get rid of it. Lighten the "Burden". Ownership is a burden. All the things I mentioned require maintenance and money to keep them, and one's time. Now I' know you aren't against ownership. Nor am I. But the video got me thinking.... I've lost interest in a couple toys I bought a few years ago. They are just sitting there, a burden. Time to "Lighten the Burden". It just doesn't fit any longer.
  • WORD TO THE WISE: Designate someone in YOUR Will to inherit your 'collection' or it will become state property. I'm still working on that one.

I for one, think you have a great life Scotty. You have more true friendships, I believe, that any man of wealth could hope to achieve in two lifetimes. A man who has gained material wealth must always wonder the motives of everyone he encounters. You have seen the good things nature has to offer, and I'm sure that you have helped people,(and stray animals 😅) along the way when you had the ability too. You leave a very small imprint on the earth as far as needlessly holding large amounts of space to hold your possessions you do have. I truly think when your time is up, at least in this demention, you will have nothing but a huge smile on your face as life's long story plays before you. A bum? Far from it. 🤗🌅
  • You're looking at this all wrong. It isn't about "stuff" for people, generally. They build up and buy those houses and get stuff to put in them just because of kids. People looking for purpose tend to (mostly) find it in having kids. To have kids you've got to have a job or business, get married, get a house and fill it with stuff. To bring up kids it has to be a decent neighbourhood, you have to get involved in school committees, you have to have a healthy social circle, you have to have networks and influential or important friends, etc. Bringing up those kids becomes their "purpose" in life - they don't have any other aim but that. It takes up at least 20 years, and for those 20 years they maintain everything and have purpose. When the kids move out, they relax a bit, the house slowly falls off, etc. Then when they die the kids inherit it or whatever, but have left and are repeating the cycle themselves. It goes on forever like this. Nobody is trying to build an empire or even anything enduring. The house can be made of wood, not even bricks, for that reason. The stuff doesn't matter to people. Fulfilling what they see as their life purpose, does.

The Man,The Myth, The Legend Scooter Tramp Scotty👊 Much love from Appalachia
  • I remember when you originally did this video.... Truthfully our time here is relatively short and 80% of the crap we collected will end up in the trash..... Good luck getting the old girl up and running for that trip to Mexico

Insightful, and a decision to make.. i myself could pehaps live a simple life style, a more simplified life. But i am married. And my wife depends on me. I do hate being under the gun, on the hook. When really a guy dosent need that much.

We all march to the beat of a different drum. Some march to the sound of a symphony and some to the sound of a soldier in formation but we are all marching through life and making choices based on what the conductor leads us to hear.
  • Thank you for sharing That house was interesting I met you at Thunder Beach Rally 2024 I finished reading your book When the weather cools down I’m gonna be taking trips on my Trike
