Your supposed to pressure it DRY first to prevent and see if it will hold pressure BEFORE you try to use it wet.
  • @BigBear--
If i can make a quick recommendation, to get a good seal the first time, and to have less of a chance for the adapter/chain popping off under pressure - Face the J-hooks away from the reservoir. Don't face them inwards.

Good to see I am not the only one that has problems with new tools , , so real , cheers
  • @Proj3ctLife
I was interested in this and thanks to your video, I'm gonna stick to the classic self bleeder technique. Had my 6 year old pump the brakes while I cracked the bleeder. To hell with all these "fancy" tools
  • Thanks for the vid man. I was specifically looking for one that shows how to secure the universal cap. 👍
  • @Teramydog
wait - you just let the fluid run on the ground? How dumb
  • @DonBMW
Have that same bleeder w BMW screw cap. Works perfect. Was considering that universal adapter cap but may bite the bullet and buy the Power Probe BA10 cap for Toyota.
  • @beegee22
Thanks for focusing on how to deal with that universal adapter - it's a major reason to consider this power bleeder.
  • @orange2352
I just use the screw on cap reservoir with that hose. Never had an issue.
  • @jp554731
Wait, so you put Vaseline on that black silicone diaphragm, and not just where cap clips on to?
  • thank you very much for posting! i was thinking that's how it works... just a lot easier to see it done first. be nice if they had a screw on adapter cap
  • @MrDYLANSDAD7
I had the same problem with the universal adapter. Buying the right cap next.
  • @alyte11
My universal cap was leaking like crazy today, it was fine the first two times. I'll try vaseline or white lithium grease as you mentioned!
  • @jcaleca60
While I'm setting up that pump I'd let the Caliber gravity please By taking the The whole bleed Valve out
  • @imadog131
So much for couldnt be easier. That universal adapter is cheesy....
  • Get the correct cap attachment that's made for your vehicle, no fuss, no drama. When you crack open the bleed port, have a hose on the end going to a container so you don't make a mess or contaminate the brake pads with brake fluid. I had to stop watching when I saw that he just cracked the bleed port open and let the fluid just go everywhere.
  • @user-tg4mg4mm5n
Dude next time just get an adapter cap that fits your car, and for god's sake use a reservoir and a hose before you open that nipple. You get that fluid all over your brake pads and you have to change them again. Nice video quality though. Those universal caps are crap.
  • @Teramydog
better solution is to buy the correct adapter for that vehicle
