If Dani's school is closing, you and she should really sort her school stuff BEFORE, she brings it home, at the classroom. Teacher's accumulate SO much! She may not need much of at her next position!!
  • As a new teacher who inherited a packed classroom, I'd be down for a classroom series

Dani, I've only just started the video so I'm sorry if this info isn't helpful. When I decluttered I sold a bunch of bags and some clothes online. In the end I lost patience with the process and took what was left (6 carloads) to a women's shelter. It helped me to let go and know that everything is going to help women who sometimes arrive with nothing but the clothes on their back. I liked doing that much more than just dumping things at Goodwill. Thought I'd throw this out there in case you end up with things that don't sell, or decide to just get rid of it all in one go. =)
  • Could you and Dani talk about how much of the clothes she sold and if it was worth all that work? Did she have people who claimed items but didn’t show up ? Would she do it this way again?
  • @JK-ut5cs
I absolutely LOVE how Dani says the clothes are smaller/bigger than her instead of just saying she is to big/small for the clothes. You are not meant to fit in clothes, clothes are meant to fit you.
  • This was EXTREMELY HELPFUL! I will NEVER sell things this way! I have a two weekend garage sale every spring and fall.(last of the four days, everything is half price.) My friends donate to me instead of Goodwill and I make $1000.00 EVERY TIME. I load up my mini van after the final Saturday afternoon and then donate it all to the Humane Society Thrift Store the next day. (They love that it’s all priced and organized.) COMPLETE CLOSURE!🙌🏻 (Side benefit,my garage gets cleaned and organized twice a year.) I also understand why others do THIS method and NOT have a garage sale. (I wouldn’t do it either if I didn’t have a two car garage, tables, signs, racks, shelves, etc.,all tightly tucked away so that our two cars are inside the rest of the time.)

Yay, another Dani video! Love her energy 💞 I'm so proud of how well she is moving forward, wanting a better space for herself:)

Selling stuff online is hard work. I found that the photographing was the easy bit. It was all the packing up and posting that made me decide, after a few sales, that it wasn't worth my effort. That was awesome progress today, however. I hope Dani makes a lot of money.

I used to collect a lot of antiques and when we moved I sold a lot of them. Selling was so hard and tiring that it has stopped me from collecting so much.
  • Wow.. I can’t believe you did this.. I would sell bags and really expensive “luxury” items of clothes.. but I would never go through and deal with all the hassle of selling clothes. I tried to sell a chair on fb marketplace and couldn’t deal with the idiots who couldn’t read the measurements or the twenty messages I got asking me “what color” it is, when you could look at the picture. So kuddos for you for willing to go through this.

Useful to show the work re selling stuff. I was hopeless at selling clothes but great at selling the big stuff like furniture. Sometimes it helped re giving stuff away to feel I was giving to a particular place.

Hi April. I like what I see. When it's all done, it would be nice to see the full after of each room. I'm sure she is happy right now, but she will be happier when the whole house is done. Everything in its place is as minimal as possible. Beautiful.

That’s exactly why I love this new name for your channel! It’s perfect for it! I hope Danni has people in her life that appreciate her as much as us watching do, I think she’s been so strong and graceful!

I can’t wait for the kitchen! I need kitchen organization brain! Loved today’s video. I have boxes and boxes and bags of things I want to sell but getting to it is another hurdle. Today’s video gave me a sort of blueprint to approach it
  • @Kate.West.
You have waaaaaaay more patience than me! I’d just take to the charity shop….. that way I don’t have the hassle of them, and they get either the money from selling them, or the money from sending to fabric recycling. I have a monthly budget for “donating to charity” so I would just count that month as donating clothes. However I’m in the lucky position of not “needing” the money, if I was in a different financial position maybe I would feel differently! Hopefully dani can sell the items quickly and get them out of her house. Congrats on the job interview, I’m sure a job will come along soon! ❤
  • Excellent progress Dani!!! ❤❤ It's so hard at this stage to keep going. The decluttering has been exhausting and you now have a "livable" space but as April's method always show if you keep going, the efforts reward a wonderful enjoyable space to thrive. 🎉

Dani's decluttering journey has been productive and inspirational. Makes me want to weed out some unnecessary pieces, too!
