This is a gift for manofthepipis, a great creator on Ao3 who made a wonderful sort of Spamton redemption AU that I really enjoy. The books really brighten up my day every time I read them, and I can’t wait for what’s to come of the series.
So in order to really understand what’s going on here you might want to read chapters 19 - 21 of [System Rebooting: Please stand by.]. Of course, you can enjoy it all the same without it, but it adds some context.
I tried to stick as close to the original canon as much as possible, but I had to crunch some events down to size to fit the music. Alas, it’s not perfect.
You can tell that my art style changed over time which is kind of embarrassing, but it’s fine, if a little jarring. There were some issues when transferring over where not all panels kept the live photo shaky cam, so it’s kinda weird at points, but it turned out okay. This is probably the longest animatic I’m ever going to do though because it took about a month of work and several hours of editing that I do not want to repeat.
