I tore my ACL & meniscus playing football in my last college freshman football game of the year. I was going through hard times as I had to find crutches and wasn't able to walk just basically living on my own. Getting in the shower was really hard because I had to get a stool from other rooms to be able to make it possible. feeding myself was a struggle because I could not physically get up and go do it. It was honestly hard times but one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. I made it out of college two weeks later after tearing it. Everything was moving slow thought the process. I was on crutches for 5 months of my life missing out on big events and holidays passing us by in 2023 coming into 2024. January 18, 2024. I have committed to Livingstone College University to play football and take on my academic career. Surprisingly that was the same day I went into surgery around 7:30am. Gotta say that was the weirdest experiences I have ever had in my life, that whole morning was just a little weird. Here I am March 13th, 2024. Finally able to walk in a comfortable manner. I still use crutches so I wouldn't make my leg so tired just standing on it because I have a 45-minute window until my leg gets to shaking. The pain overall was not as bad as people say, it hurts after the surgery, but you are off meds the whole day, night and evening. I will not return to the sport so quick because I can barely stand for a period of time. I have gone to college football bowl games and huge events all while on crutches. It's amazing how you can accomplish something even when your legs are disabled.
