Was It That Long Ago? I Revisit A Forest, With Surprising Outcome!

Published 2024-07-05
Short metal detecting trip to a forest I haven’t visited for quite some time. Four years? I can’t believe it has been that long. It feels like yesterday! My expectations were low. I thought, the area was cleaned out, which was the case to some extend as finds were few and far between.
Nevertheless, activated psychic powers allowed me to pinpoint a spot and make a few discoveries, mostly in form of buttons. The majority of artifacts came from 18th century - thank you “1700’s people”! I also found a bronze ring among other items.

The highlight for me was a (1805-1814) French Napoleonic button followed by a (1700’s) Bavarian Army button with a number “2”. At the end I felt like I used all my psychic powers and thought, this is the moment to quit.

I hope you had fun watching this episode.
Take care!

I enjoy your detecting in the forest. The items you find are fascinating especially the ages of them. Thank you for your educational information and little acknowledgements of Nature, however tiny.
  • Magnificent team work. Do you believe in psycometry ? What a story the ring could tell us. Sadly lost in the ground for years but heroically found by you. X
