The 4 piece in the US is often not on the menu, but you can order it anyway. It’s in the computer. I’ve seen it on the menu, available as a manager’s special, and off the menu; depending on which store.

These videos always make me crave whatever is being shown 😭
  • I love watching these as a Canadian since some of the exclusives from both countries are often at our stores

I'm from the UK and I had Popeyes for the first time the other day as a new store had opened up in our local city. My god it was incredible, easily the best fried chicken I've ever had, it puts KFC to shame. I had the tendies and went for a 5 piece classic and a 3 piece spicy so I could try both. Both were incredible. I will definitely be going back! The only bad thing about it is it's ruined other fried chicken for me! I'll never be able to look at a dry tasteless chicken select the same way ever again

Video idea: Joe actually DOES eat the 48 piece. I'd watch the hell out of that.

The blackened chicken is primarily for their gluten free customers. And the fish sandwich is mostly a Lent thing.

Haha I love how the cultural difference is evident further by the presenters. The Brit is reserved and gives the information while the American adds flair. As an American living in the UK I have an appreciation for both!

PS, MSG got a bad rap a few decades ago. It is simply a form of sodium. Yes we should watch our sodium intake. However MSG naturally occurs in things like tomatoes. It makes things extra delicious. It has not been proven to be an allergen, as far as I can tell from some research. There was a bias against Chinese restaurants because they often use MSG, a reviewer put fear into people about it and the stigma remains to this day. Look up Harold McGee's scientific take on MSG and decide for yourself.

As a Popeyes employee there’s also catering options so the most chicken you can get is most likely in the hundreds

I suspect the chicken weights for the tendies, sandwiches, etc vary not by country but just randomly based off of the size of the chicken that just happens to be supplied. Though I assume the UK would trend slightly lower because they aren't exactly known for factory farms like we are in the US

I think you should do one between different sweet (candy for the US) brands, I think Joe would love this one. I remember when I was in America years back, the amount of different variations of Skittles for example compared to what we get over here is insane

I want to try Popeyes so badly. Their food sounds so good!

Usually fish sandwiches come out during the Lenten season, which is a time Catholics observe from March (Ash Wednesday) up until Easter and abstain from eating meat on Fridays. Since Popeyes is a Louisiana founded company, and Louisiana has a large Catholic demographic, this is likely why the flounder was released. I believe it's currently on the menu. Just a random tidbit from a New Orleanean to you. lol <3

I love the illustrations for the “box art” and parchment paper for our Popeyes in the US. They did such a good job with the graphic design. If only they released a fabric for it… So cute 🥺
