1992. Broke up with my one love , I'm sweeping up the parking lot at a grocery store got some crappy little part-time job at midnight In the distance I hear a parked car playing this painfully beautiful pillowy, beckening song and decide to call her back we've been married ever since.

This song is now 30 years old and still sounds as fresh today. Truly a classic

Perhaps one of the most underrated songs of the 90s. An exceptional ballads that is both smooth and timeless.

My wife and I played this song for our wedding. Twenty six years later I was unable to play it at her funeral. She survived cancer twice and MS but a disease created in a Chinese bio warfare lab was too much. RIP Lisa.

I had the Spellbound tape, yes I said “tape”. I was 16 years old and use to sneak out of my house at night. This song reminds me of that era. Good times. Thanks Paula ♥️

Underrated song for us who have an exquisite taste in music.
  • This song deserved to be a massive massive hit. One of her best vocals and a beautifully shot video. I don't get why it didn't connect.

The lyrics are STILL HEART WRENCHING. The choreography is breath taking. The piano solo MOVES me still. I continue to FEEL this selection. Reminds me of a couple of my ex(es)... *Tear trickles down my cheek...still*

I can't believe it's taken me 30 + plus to finally see this music video. I loved the song when I first heard it in 1991. Devine!

I know Paula will always be remembered for Idol and her uptempo stuff, but I actually really enjoyed her ballads.
