For anyone looking to try this themselves, this video starts around 3 minutes into the instrumental version of Smooth Criminal (about 2 bars before the synths come back in) with the flugelhorn playing at 3:05 (coming in with the synths). To practice, I'd start the instrumental around 2:45 where the guitar comes in (and plays for 8 bars) so you can feel the beat and learn where to come in.
