I remember Biden taking office Jan 2021 not June 2022.
  • The most expensive vehicle to drive today is the shopping cart

Imagine if companies were held accountable for price fixing... one can dream.
  • Appreciate?! How can they appreciate anything after working 40-60 hours a week and still don’t have enough because you need an average of 60k a year across America to afford rent?! I think we need to reassess the issues here. Yeah wages still are not high enough, but our free market commoditization of necessities is conflicting with some employers ability to even come close to meet living wages. Stop giving workers a hard time. They literally can’t work any harder and the nerve to say they don’t appreciate is completely detached from reality. It’s not just wages, price controls or windfall taxes or something needs to be implemented because every penny we get more, the price of services and goods goes up a dollar yet none of that “trickles back down “ into increasing wages further. I’m in my 40’s and I’m over it! My kids are having a harder time than I did at their age plus they have to clean up the mess left by my grandparents. Aggressive actions need to be taken. People don’t want to rent homes with 6 roommates just to get by. Single parents are doomed and abortion is illegal in like half the states. In ten years we will have triple the homeless if it keeps up.
  • Take out food and energy? The average American doesn't appreciate how great they have it
  • I keep digging into my pocket to afford to live. 👎🏼
  • The rise in housing is because apartment owners raise rents year after year until renters cannot afford their rent and need to move but cannot find another apartment in their budget. Older Americans are needing to continue to work well into their 70s if they have only had high school educations. It’s time to cap rent on property owners who don’t reinvest in the properties, building that a well below “market value.
  • I don’t think the high food prices is only related to inflation. I think it is also related to the monopolization of big farms, chicken and meat production.
  • @David..832
Putting sprinkles on a pile of crap doesn't make it a cake
  • They keep carving out specific items out of inflation data. Look at the items excluded.

HUD is reporting a historic rise in homelessness. I wish they would talk about that.
  • Everything is high!!. Greedy corporations and career politicians are the biggest problems. If you think wages are keeping up with inflation you are also high. None of the anchors do thier own grocery shopping. Try to buy $200 worth of groceries for a family of 4. Also that low unemployment rate is just people having to get 2 jobs. Thanks MSNBC

There was nothing to appreciate or celebrate about that inflation report. Even the hosts did not fall for the explanation.
  • Homeowners insurance prices, especially in states hit by fire, flood, disaster have gone through the roof. But what I can't understand is why the car insurance prices also followed. Why?
  • Car rental does not cut into your salary if it’s for work. As someone who traveled for work for decades I never once paid for a car rental, hotel, or meals as they were all expensed. This may be part of the problem though because I really didn’t care what something cost as long as I stayed within company expense guidelines.
  • Steve Rattner needs to explain why the bottom wage earners are increasing their wages. States are raising their minimum wages. Washington state's minimum wage is $16.28 per hour. Unfortunately, the states that are raising their wages are also the most expensive states to live and the cost of living is also increasing.
  • The recent stock market rally has left investors questioning whether it's the end of the bear market or a sign of volatility to come, especially with traditional indicators like the inverted yield curve signaling caution. In such a climate, pivoting to the dynamic world of cryptocurrencies could be a wise move. Despite a potentially bearish stock market, the crypto market remains a hub of innovation and opportunity. Amidst this the insights of a knowledgeable guide like Rafa Manuel can be crucial. His expertise in navigating the nuances of cryptocurrency investments could be the key to understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.
