  • Janitors and housekeepers are some of the most important people anywhere!

What did we used to say? " Necessity is the mother of invention." That saying goes back to Plato. Well, it is certainly true of this man. I never knew a janitor had invented the vacuum cleaner. I probably like others, thought it was Hoover. Thank you for setting things straight for me at least. I am so glad for this man and his family, receiving money from every unit built. A very well informative Video Brad. thank you and your team.

Thank you Brad! I was the first Sweep girl at my high-school. I cleaned classrooms, rest rooms and offices after school my junior and senior years! Janitorial work is a must in every business!

My oh my, how we take for granted all our "modern" conveniences. It's so easy to forget how difficult chores were to complete before modern conveniences. Now I'm thinking about the inventors of the washer and dryers, as I am doing my laundry today.
  • Thank you for your very wise and humane concluding remarks. I greatly appreciate them.
  • I have known plenty of people who spoke the word janitor with a sneer of the lip. I am not one of those people. When I was in grade school, some 60+ years ago, the janitor at our school was George Vrostek, lovingly called Mr. George by most of us. He taught us lessons that weren't taught in the classroom, and always with a smile. When he retired several years later the local newspaper ran a full article about him and many of us alumni attended the assembly honoring him. I, and I'm sure many of my schoolmates, will never forget him.
  • Very interesting, enjoyed that. What a wonderful thing he created for people. They didn't have to suffer, as he didn't either. Thank you.

Once again, thank you Mr Brad. God bless you & God bless America. TFS
  • Brad, thanks again. And yes, I couldn't agree with you more on your last sentiments. The world, our home, would definitely be a much better place. Good day

Another great story, Brad! I completely agree with you about every single one of us being important to the final result. All of my life, my biggest irritation has been others looking down their noses at their fellow man. Though I graduated some 62 years ago, I still remember my Senior Year School Album and it's dedication. It was to a really sweet and quiet boy who could stand the teasing's of two or three other students no longer. Sadly, he took his own life during that school year. And his father was our janitor.

Thank you Brad! It's a shame that they don't teach these GREAT stories in school! Very inspirational and humbling!
  • That was a real sucker of a story 😅😂 Sorry, I couldn't resist that.

Your right everyone should be respected.
  • Canton,Ohio is a city of a much history of invention and innovation. Sadly it seems in much decline as manufacturing has been sold out and sent overseas. The Hoover company was the pride of North Canton and its building still stands but the company is gone with the exception of a warehouse or two. Also the home of President William McKinley, Timken Roller Bearings , Diebold safes and security equipment, atm machines etc. and home of pro football Hall of Fame.
  • I could probably get there within an hour by car. I've passed by there many times but never had a reason to take that particular detour just to see what was there.
