Totally understand his statement about buying watches to mark events in ones life. I dreamed forever to be a police officer. About seven years into the job I was doing well and working on a special crime team task force. I looked around and said, "I've made it." That was in 1992 and to commemorate that moment, I bought a submariner that I still wear today, and love. After 30 years of an awesome career I retired as a lieutenant. I had accomplished everything I wanted to do in law enforcement. I commemorated that with my brother who also retired with 30 years in law enforcement. We both loved Panera's, mainly because of Mr. Stallone bringing them to our attention. We both picked one up to acknowledge our careers.

Haven't worn a wristwatch for 25 years and couldn't care less about expensive watches, but it's always interesting to hear someone talking about something they are really passionate about.

His movies practically raised us 80s American boys. Proud to be his fan, he’s lived a virtuous life and his watch collection is top tier.

In Rocky 2, Rocky buys a Rolex for himself, Adrian and Pauly. Stallone's love for watches goes back a long time.

Money is more valuable when you have lot of time. Time is more valuable when you have lot of money. Irony of life -You won't have them both together. Sly 's now cashing in his chips, all the trinkets in the world mean nothing when you're gone. Clever man.

Absolute legend, dream watch collection. What I particularly appreciate (being a watch collector and a watch enthusiast myself) is the fact that he is ready and able to let go of things.
