Wow I'm glad this popped up today..I've only been a subscriber for a couple years..Now I see the roots and can't wait to binge the first episodes

I had a 1978 Starlet bought in St Barts in 1982 for $1000. It was a bit tired. Used to be a taxi. But it ran for YEARS afterwards. We humped it up on a wood boat island freighter and took it to St Maarten a few miles away where it ran all over the Dutch and French side. Five speed manual. VERY quick because it weighed almost nothing. Problems mostly with exhaust piping due to rust and the car being fairly low on a rugged island terrain. I visited the same guy with a co2 welder all the time. And one water pump. That was all it ever needed. Oh, and all the crappy cheap used tires I could find.

A perfect day, drag racing with the family. The only thing better is if Rocky was there too. It's a shame that so many of the strips are closing. Most young people just aren't interested. The don't know what there missing.
