These came out sooo good, it has the perfect mix of crispy on the top and gooey in the middle. Also I added like 1 tsp of coffee just to bring out the flavour of chocolate and some cherries. It’s now my fave brownie recipe. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
  • I made these with self raising flour and they came out rock hard. Any UK folks, use Plain Flour

Wow! I made these for my adult children who eat a vegan diet. They are so delicious. I used the applesauce in place of the flax seed mix. I think they are the best brownies , vegan or not. Thanks for posting this recipe.

Can I try this with gluten free flour and jaggery or dates??

So I just made these but didn't achieve the crackly top. I made a few adjustments to the recipe i used 1 cup of sugar because i melted some vegan chocolate to stir in for an extra punch of chocolatiness lol and I added 2 tsp of instant coffee as well as a teaspoon of baking powder to help it rise. I'm wondering if that's what interfered with the crackling process. They smell so good! Can't wait for it to cool so I can try it.

Hello! is it possible to sub flax eggs for chia one in the same ratio?
  • you know, I made this with UK Self Raising flour. It doesn't make a brownie at all, but it makes a very convincing vegan sponge cake. mmm!

Great recipe, if I wanted to use eggs instead of flax, how many eggs should i use? Thx
