Baba Yaga

Published 2024-01-15
Baba Yaga is an enigmatic or ambiguous character from Slavic folklore (or one of a trio of sisters of the same name) who has two opposite roles. In some motifs she is described as a repulsive or ferocious-looking old woman who fries and eats children, while in others she is a nice old woman, who helps out the hero. She is often associated with forest wildlife. Her distinctive traits are flying around in a mortar, wielding a pestle, and dwelling deep in the forest in a hut standing on chicken legs.

Who is Baba Yaga? Dig deep guys.

absolutely amazing! I knew you'd nail this one. Such a complex characters. That's why I love it so much. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always unique in her own way. Even when she's portrayed as good....its still in a dark way. Thanks for doing this one.

I love the Baba Yaga lore, I have watched and reviewed a few movies on it. It's not as big of an urban legend in America but in those old countires its still a scary story for them
