Better than a lot of others because John and Paul sing beautiful harmony on the refrain. Love this.
  • @Sesamox
Amazing how Ringo dresses up the song. I like his drums more and more.
  • An old friend messaged me the other day saying this track was on the Get Back docuseries. I'm very glad he told me, because for a demo/early take it sounds superb! McCartney and Lennon singing with George on the chorus is Sublime.
  • @johndotcue
John and Paul backing up George on this one would have made this already great song even better. Oh what could have been.

My grandfather passed away a few days ago of Pancreatic Cancer. This song has specifically been echoing to me. I'm only 21 years old and it's kinda dawning on me the reality of life itself. Nothing is forever, time is short, and all things must pass. Its kind of eye opening...
  • The thing I love most about The Beatles version of this is the harmonies on the chorus are at the same level - It's not lead singer front and centre (as is usually the case now and was the case in the Concert for George version) with quieter backing vocals. Nothing makes the hair stand up on my neck like voices coming together perfectly.

I love the harmonies on this. What a wonderful remix -- and in stereo!
  • @djburland
It was the best they did together of this
  • @RickardoMute
When I heard them do this for a snip it on the get back doc it blew my mind! The 3 part harmonies in chorus sounds sooooo good! Total missed opportunity. This would've vibed so well on abbey road somewhere on side A

Seems if this was finished and on Abbey Road, George would have had the three best songs. Title track to his own record so we will never know otherwise. I think the key magic is having John and Paul with him, especially the harmonies.
  • @azapro911
Sad to think that the next time Paul performs this, it'll be at George's memorial concert.

Been a Harrison fan since I was a kid....listen to all his songs.....love this version specially in a day like this in which I lost a great friend😢
  • @artist2739
Would have sounded nice as part of their Let It Be Album

Just proof the whole was greater than the sum of its parts.
  • @stevesage604
Very cool. It sounds just like a Beatles recording session work through. Excellent job of it.
  • @paulg444
To me it is the final and one of the greatest Beatles songs.
  • @teletubetodd
This would have sounded fabulous on the Let it Be album. They still harmonized so well. Thanks for posting the Beatles version.
