I have been detecting for over 35 yrs and I know of several large caches found. The ones that I saw myself were never talked about, and no pics taken. All the serious cache hunters I've ever known were very discrete and very private. 90% of those guys are dead and gone.

Found a rotted out leather purse with 15 pre 1920 silver .925 coins and 8 coppers on a river bank in Aberdeen but my best was a wee find of 6 coin..2 turners and 4 bawbees all Charles 2nd from 1600s with my trusty old Cscope.

Cheer up guys , looks the the find of a lifetime. Nice job !!!
  • It's really this kind of thing that makes metal detecting so interesting 🤔 you can come upon something such as this or just a bunch of rusty nails. You never know! No matter what you do though... you get to learn about history and that makes it that much more exciting 🙌 congratulations on the find boys and even if you don't find anymore you both have a nice stack and a nice story to go with it 😊
  • Beautiful and blessed FINED great Adventure Thanks for your information The Hernandez Family Colorado.

Great finds! Hope you find lots more. There is no telling how many post-hole banks are still out there undetected.

I want an 1862 penny to go with my 1863 penny. Great find. Thank you for sharing. Guess I'll go to work at my regular job now and think all day about treasure hunting.
