The greatest thing about this video is you showing all the mistakes made and fixed without fear. Great job!!!!

When i was a boy i used to love spending Saturdays helping my grandfather with various projects, rowboat building, log-splitting, various small carpentry projects ideal for a 10 -13 year old and 70 year old to undertake together. He measured twice, cut once... i had the fetch and carry with the boundless enthusiasm of a child. Covid lockdown allowed me time otherwise spent commuting to work with my 12 year old son. Built a garden shed together, raised brick flower beds, patio, etc. Too many men (and especially boys) have lost the joy of creating things with our hands. I remember my wife telling my son that he'd be better with a hammer if he spent less time on his Nintendo. He went from his nickname 'on site' being 'Lightning' (never struck the same place twice) to 'The Human Rivetter ' in about a fortnight. Great times, real bonding, proud of what we built together and protective of it. We need not to do as much as practicable ourselves to affirm our identities and values.

Always! Be sure to waterproof between the concrete slab and the board placed on it. Without waterproofing, the bottom board will constantly draw moisture from the concrete and become damp, which will cause accelerated formation of fungus and rot, no matter what impregnation this board is impregnated with.

Getting older is enjoying watching a shed getting build

Absolutely love the fact you put all this together in one video. It's the worst having to watch several long drawn out videos to see less than what you did. As someone who plans to do this same thing with my house and know the amount of work behind it (I was surprised when I saw you finish that concrete by yourself), this is extremely satisfying to see be done as well as impressive. Great video, great job, super stoked.

I nominate this for the YouTube excellence in video editing award. I also nomiate it for musical score award as well. Do people realize he engineered his own truss system? Massively overbuilt with mending plates and hurricane ties.

Everyone take a moment and think about 11:10. That is the moment of "can I catch it" being replaced with "the ground will" logic. Always remember the ground will catch whatever you drop because it's not worth getting hurt trying to prove yourself. It's saved my family's feet, hands, etc. a number of times. We've also been injured not following that rule the same number of times.

Absolutely STUNNING. I can't believe you did all that beautiful work for tools. I thought it was going to be like a mother-in-law suite.❤❤❤❤ It's still stunning. 😊😊

This book was a great resource for ideas, practical advice youtube.com/post/Ugkx-b91_bYU48sOwHX-XC49tRRXRxcnO… and pro tips I purchased the plans for the 10'x16' colonial and used them for the basics and made my own modifications. I built my shed for storage and lawn equipment, but decided to sheath and side it in case I ever wanted to add insulation and turn it into a shop or bunkhouse. I poured over this book all winter while I planned and found it to be the all-around best shed book out there.

Bro this is what you call PROFESSIONAL! When you installed that TV I almost started crying knowing I will never have something like this! This is a work of art! 👍🏽👊🏽

At the very end, I saw the link to "I think I built a tiny house," and through the whole video I was thinking it reminded me of a Mother-in-law cottage. Nice work.
  • @patsampson6990
Amazing shed, job well done! Enjoyed watching start to finish, and all the challenges you faced building it yourself.
  • @user-kv1bw6pb3y
WOW. I did not expect you will build your own roof trusses and fixed windows....Amazing work man!
  • @brianwball40
Most houses don't have this amount of detail. Great job!!
  • @kirksnyder6190
This is the best home built I have seen. Your work was intelligent and methodical. Impressive. Very much so. Thank you for insights.
  • @Overpar73
That's one sharp little man cave! I also love the TV hanging inside the custom door, very nice build bud!!
  • @MikeKafes
I really enjoyed watching this series. Also, I appreciate you sharing all of your mistakes. It helps me not beat up myself when I make a mistake on my basement room build. 😅 Your production value for a one man band is off the charts.💯 KUDOS!! KEEP IT UP 🤟
  • What a satisfying feeling it must be to build a house! Your work looks perfect and your using it for a workshop I'm guessing, shoot it's nice enough to live in! Enjoyed watching the process, thanks!
