Giiirl your school glue basting changed my life and I'm never going back lol but this is really helpful incase i ever need to baste anything that can't be washed.

This is such a great idea!!! Definitely using this when glue isn't an option. I'm so glad I found you!
-
So glad I got to see this video. Love this idea for a woman of 76. Love your videos.

You do a beautiful job on all your quilts. After learning how you glue baste. I just finished quilting my first glue basted quilt. Not one pucker! I'm so thrilled with it. Thank you so much❤

Clever girl! Your brain is always working 😊

Hi there ! Just a suggestion from my own experience that worked very good for me: If you could have another person to help you, you can baste by sewing instead of using safety pins. If you stay in front of the quilt and your hubby/sister/friend/neighbor (?) in the back side, you pass the needle back and forth until it’s all basted. No special skill required to achieve that with a person who does not know to sew anything; just pass the needle ! Much easier and convenient during the quilting process, not to deal with keeping track and removing needles. And of course the basting thread should be a color easy to see to remove after quilting. Hope you can use this tip sometime.

This is a great space saving (and back and knee saving) way to baste a quilt! I prefer thread basting as I batch baste and stash my tops. I love that you/ can reach around the back to check for wrinkles. The photographers frame is a great idea - really convenient and efficient.

I was thinking this stand you are using could be used to arrange blocks on your quilt top. I don't have a wall that I can useas a design wall. I would hang a sheet on the stand and then pin my blocks to it. That way I could step back and see it better before sewing blocks together. And when I'm done I can take it down and store it for the next time.

Great idea, Quilting frame upright! Beautiful Quilt!

Great idea for pin basting!! That device would also make a great design wall if don't have wall space!!
-
Great idea! I used to be a photographer and I have one of these stands. Being g 75 yo I dread pin basting on the floor. This method is something I definitely want to try!

WoW. I love the BLUE Background and backing fabric!! That is so pretty. Can't wait to see the Box meander!! MY FAVORITE of the Meanders!! (Now I just need to practice so I can do it!!). LOL

Clever girl!!! Nicely done!

I really like the stand you're using.
-
Next level thinking! That idea might save my table top & my back! ❤
-
Great idea! You could also hang some flannel and use it as a portable design wall. 👍🏻

Great idea for pin basting. I've been doing mine across 2 folding tables and this looks like it would be so much easier. My husband had one of these stands and the clips can be found at harbor freight.
