  • Just shows how ridiculous the car industry has become when a small city car is seen as a saviour
  • Matt, are you getting sponsored by Kia? I never thought id see you getting so excited about a Kia Picanto 💀😄
  • @sky37blue
I know its a bit bigger but i would rather get a Yaris. I drove one recently and it was insanely good. Plus the fuel economy easily beats this. I was getting about 68mpg in the city. Incredible.
  • It's a nice car for people who aren't petrolheads. It's nice to slow down and smell the roses
  • @Brian-om2hh
It's a reasonably good quality city car for commuting, and it'll be pretty damn good at it. The 7 year warranty is a strong pull, if a car like this is your bag.....Kia's reliability record is good...
  • @davidperry3531
Keep it for 7 years and it will still be worth far more than any EV.
  • There's just a problem with the Picanto, it's called the Sandero. For 15k you get a very well specced Dacia with a lot more space and boot, and a 90hp turbo engine
  • I've got the previous GT Line s with on a 23 plate with a 1 L turbo 99bhp. It's like an old school hot hatch. I can't rate this car enough for what it is. Proper hand brake, great box, Electric windows all round, keyless start and entry, wireless charging, heated seats and Sterling wheel the list goes on...... Bought last last year for £16,250.
  • Looked at this as we needed a second small car and to be honest it wasn't great, a poor dealership experience, price was silly for what the car is and the removal of the 99bhp turbo model which we had previously owned and loved is a poor move. We eventually went for an Aygo X which has a better warranty, much better finished interior, looks better externally IMO,but admittedly the same underpowered engine but it was £50 a month cheaper than the Kia. We've had it 3 months now and it's a brilliant car, 68 mpg average for our work runs up the A6, I think it beats the Kia in all areas but each to their own, if we all liked the same life would be boring. Nice video nonetheless 👍

    I have a 70 plate 1 litre turbo GT Line S (99 bhp) as a daily driver.....do over 60 miles a day and it's a great little car.
  • Hey, Matt, don't be ageist 😂; I'm 58 and have a 21 plate GT-Line S and love it!
  • £17k for 62bhp? Car prices, new and used, are ridiculous.
  • @conroy1275
It's a bit like owning a Michelin starred restaurant, then offering up a bag of skips.

Small city cars are not dead yet! As someone who has owned 2 VW ups, this class of car will always have a place in my heart! Great video as always Matt, I just bought a VW T-Cross last week (yes I gave in to the small SUV trend, despite previously judging it) and honestly, love the car! I learned from your channel to look for one with full history, low mileage and do a vehicle history check. Something I didn't do before buying my previous Mazda and definitely regretted! Thanks for everything Matt... Would like to know your honest opinion of the T-Cross and small SUVs :)
  • Matt when buying one of these in a few years to put in his showroom : I've massively underspent!
  • My wife and I purchased a KIA Niro as our city car. I own a ‘96 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I often opt to drive the KIA. 58 mpg makes the choice for me. It’s also a pleasure to drive.
  • @ylpea5170
Thanks, just when I thought I had made up my mind about buying a used VW ID3 you dropped this video and now it´s back to square one.
