Pro tip: if you have an electric stove, you are going to have to put the heat at medium. I tried it on lower heat settings and the pancakes would not cook at all and were a mess. I tried again at medium heat, and they turned out perfectly!

  • English version for people who just want the recipe without watching the video: Ingredients: 1 egg 2 tbsp cake flour (use all-purpose flour if you don’t have cake flour) 1 tbsp of milk 1 tsp vegetable oil 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp + 1 tsp sugar Little bit of vegetable oil for oiling the pan 2 tsp water 1) separate the egg into two different bowl (yolk and egg whites) 2) in yolk bowl, add the flour, milk, 1 tsp of vegetable oil, and vanilla extract and whisk until mixed 3) in egg whites bowl, slowly beat in the sugar into the bowl until formed stiff peaks. (If you do not have a mixer, use a whisk or a fork but it will take a bit longer) 4) using a spoon or spatula, incorporate the meringue to the batter mix and mix until just combined. Do not over mix 5) set a small pan to low heat and add a small amount of oil just to cover the pan. Use a paper towel to cover the bottom. 6) use a cookie scooper to scoop out the batter and put it into the pan. To make it fluffier, add another layer on top of the scoops. Add 2 tsp of water to the pan and it should be crackling by the lowest heat. Cover the pan with lid and wait for 3-4 until the bottom is lightly golden brown or easy to flip 7) carefully flip the pancake and add another 2 tsp of water and/or oil if necessary. Cover the pan again and wait 3-4. 8) the pancake should be easy to take out of the pan without it being undone and wiggle on the spatula when moving.

These were so good! For those that dont have cake flour, just use all purpose, thats what i did. Also i dont have an electric mixer so i whisked it by hand, i used a fork because the whisk was dirty from making other things in the morning. Whisking by hand takes a bit longer but its definitely worth it. I also only whisked to soft peaks cause i was a bit lazy, but it still worked. You can omit the vanilla extract, adding it just gives more of a vanilla flavour. I also cooked it for a bit longer, maybe because our ovens lowest heat is really really small. Lastly, i would like to say that this was my first time making pancakes, and im not really an experienced chef.. lol maybe its cause im 12, but i just came to say that it worked wonderfully.

The good thing about this recipe is that even if you mess it up and the batter ends up being runny and deflated it'll still taste amazing as a regular, non-fluffy pancake. The pancakes are still silky smooth and soft in texture.

Omg this tasted so good! Super soft, light and fluffy, tasted like cloud furthermore it was not eggy at all. Thank you so much for the recipe!
  • I love how you take time to detail every single gram and ml measure! I have seen a lot of cooking vid preparing a bow and write (500g) next to it so it's hard to measure when I do not have the scale with me, so it helps a lot!! UvU thank u for ur effort, I really love ur vid UvU
