Joy đđđđđđ "Mine tole me also, but she was 37" đđđđđ

Whoopiâs perspective made perfect sense. Since Sunny admitted to be a âhelicopter momâ, there is no way to know how honest they are with her.

people overestimate how 'smart' , educated, and rational parents are. if the kid is responsible enough to find birth control, dr.s should let them have it.
-
The need to mention how much of a jump in teenage Birth rates have gone up in Texas

Joy: "Mine told me also, but she was 37." And probably married.

When I was 12 yr old I needed birth control to regulate my period. My periods were so bad before birth control that I needed a blood transfusion.

If I had had to get parental consent for birth control, I would have become a mother at 16 years old, dropped out of high school, and would probably be a great grandmother today. Thanks to Planned Parenthood's confidential care, I had my first child at 29, after completing my university education, and was able to realize my lifelong ambition of becoming a teacher.

Yes, I so appreciated Planned Parenthood in my city in 1974, where they helped me with birth control- and I didnât have to be a teenaged mother. My mom just told me âDo what you have to do-just donât tell me about it.âđ€·ââïžPlanned Parenthood must be supported. Itâs imperative.

I was able to go to Planned Parenthood at 15 to get a birth control shot without my parents. Thank God for this, bc my dad wouldnât have allowed, and my life may have been very different today.
-
When I was 16 I was fortunate to be able to go to Planned Parenthood without my folks knowing. After an exam etc., I was provided birth control pills. I am 60! WTAF?
-
Does this mean boys under 18 can not purchase condoms without their parents consent.
-
What Sara said coming from a religious upbringing you donât talk to your parents about sex itâs a no no because youâre not supposed to do it until youâre married
-
if there is anything in this world that minors do not need parental consent for using, that is contraception. everyone should use it unless they want to have a baby.
-
I think their plan is much more sinister, Joy. I think it is more about increasing the birth rate, even amongst 16-year-olds. I could be wrong, but they do believe birth control is a form of abortion and life begins at conception. We hear people like them always talking about the birth rates also. And then with all the anti-choice laws being passed, they are probably hoping more people just give up and decide to have the baby.
-
Minors should have access to free birth control and condoms. A parent shouldnât have to consent because most parents would say no and yet most people have sex before legally becoming an adult.
-
I'll keep saying it, I LOVE this panel, these women bring such nuanced perspectives with enough respect to let each other talk
-
Great point, Alyssa!

There's a word for parents who don't want children to know about contraception--grandparents.

The middleages suddenly did not sound so dark as the states right now

"Do they do this at Tony Bennett concerts?" Umm... Joy... got some bad news for you... đŹ
