You have no idea how important this podcast has become for me
  • @maudline
I now want a tv series with Arthur and Agent Perkins going on raids for muggle artifacts like 80s Miami Vice 😂😂😂
  • Just wanted to say that Percys owl's name is pretty easy for us Brits to remember as Hermes was the name of a notoriously unreliable courier service. Hermes is also a greek God depicted as a winged messenger. Pretty apt for a mail owl.

1:07:08 Ginny's eyes were always described as brown in every printed edition of both UK and US versions. They're only described as green in the US audiobook narrated by Jim Dale. So it seems like Jim Dale just made a mistake.
  • Having named houses is not a wizard thing. Old houses just have names in the UK. In fact, a lot of people even carry the name of their house with them, so you might always have a friend who lives at a Rose Cottage, even though they've moved three times since you've known them. They just grab up the sign and take it with them.

i'm not being sarcastic at all, i love the type of analysis that's like "why does the burrow have so many chimneys?" just focusing on the odd little details
  • Even though the twins know how to drive the Ford anglia, I'm pretty sure Ron was the one asking them for help "rescueing" Harry and it warms my heart that little 12 year old Ron was so determined to help his best friend that he would do anything. Well except asking an adult, but that's normal for them. 😂🤣
  • Ron must have been AI relieved when he saw the bars on harry's window. Lol. "Oh good, he was just being held hostage."

For anyone wondering where the new episode is, this is on the community tab on their main channel: "Hey Through the Griffin Door fans! Wanted to give you a little heads up that the episode that this week's Sunday episode will be uploaded on Monday due to some sickness in office (all good now though!) But the supercut for the last couple episodes will be live on Saturday!""

@57: 20 My personal headcanon is that Lockhart's pest book has a picture of him fighting each pest like a fireman calendar and Mrs. Weasley looks it up just to check him out.

As a postal worker I can confidently say that houses having names is fairly common, at least in Sweden! Love the podcast, keep up the good work 😊

See this is why I love Ron. Because Ron is Harry and Hermione's light. That's the real reason Dumbledore gave him the deluminator. Because out of all of them, Ron has always been able to see the silver lining in even the darkest situation. And lighten their spirits when things get too heavy. If Ron is lost, then they all are. He is the core of the trio, not Harry. Because as we saw in book 7, they have no heart or drive without him. Both Harry and Hermione really came to understand just how important Ron is to them. And I just love that.
  • @7:15 i love how the chapter art at a quick glance kinda looks like Doc from cars. The two little heads look like the eyes.😂😂

Naming ones House is an old British custom which began with the gentry naming their manors, halls, and castles. The custom gradually spread to the masses and everyday folk began naming their homes as well. Traditionally the house name is based on who the house was 'tied' to or located at.
  • In Harry Potter, the term Warlock specifically applies to wizards who have accomplishment with combative spells, often associated with law enforcement. So presumably Perkins in his youth was more of a on the ground sort of law enforcement person, presumably before his lumbago kicked in.

Yes J you are right. The way Fred and Gorge are saying it, is a funny way. They are asking him the question like he is on trial.

Guys, where is the New one, I'm invested ❤
