I have a pair of Pioneer SE-305 headphones that I picked up at a flea market for $5. They are in fairly good condition for their age and they seems to be in fair working order. The speakers don’t sound like they’re blown, but they just don’t have very much bottom end. I am gonna take them apart and get the dimensions of the speakers themselves and also pull up the manual and see what the details are on the original’s are. Then I’ll do some looking online for a decent replacement and see if this experiment works. This first video is just disassembly.

After measuring the speaker, the hole that it fits in is right at 1 3/4 inches. Let the search begin!

A bit after your video but more info never hurts. I have a pair of 405 phones I got for 10 dollars and I replaced the drivers with drivers from a Koss UR-40 set. I just glued in the new drivers witch fit ok (no screws) with E6000. These are titanium drivers and are louder and sound much better. what a great deal for the price considering the quality of the hardware.

Awesome video, just saw these at a thrift shop and was looking for some reviews based on the sound but this is interesting as well... :)

So So I've been looking for headphones that offer DJ's during transitions offer independent volume controls for each side but all controlled on 1 side where one side is silenced the noise cancellation mics playback external sounds(crowd) into the 0 volume side Also can 3 separate Drivers/speakers be combined into 1 magnet where sound is split into 3in1 drivers 1. The center plays treble 2. the middle bigger on plays mid range 3. the biggest plays bass Thus 6 speakers to create and simulate SRS immersion
