    We were very poor. My Dad made corn chowder by using cans of creamed corn with milk as a base. It was so good.

    Just made this today. Frozen corn, plant based whole milk, and a couple of jalapenos. WOOHOO. So good.
  • For those who don't have, can't have, or don't want to use bacon, use butter and a little smoked paprika in the beginning. To approximate the bacon topping at the end, sprinkle some fried sage leaves.

    I make something like this a lot in large batches. I use silicon molds to freeze serving portions. 1 or 2 cups sizes. I then vacuum seal the frozen blocks and put them in the deep freezer. Anytime I want good soup, I toss a bag into the sous vide and it's as if I just made it. Great way to make food.

    I absolutely love that there is no cream or flour used to thicken ❤ thank you for showing us these recipies, im improving as a cook because of you. When i first made this my milk broke, now its perfect, made it with olive oil, and coconut milk. Love the zero waste with the cobs too
