Quick few tips for starting out. When first starting out, scroll all the way out on the map so you can see all the regions and the resources each has. You should immediately come up with a game plan of what regions you want and what each will focus on. This is one of the most important things to do since you will only get a total of 6 development points per region. Your main town will most likely end up being your trade hub and where most of you armor/weps will be made. So you’re only going to want to focus on those items in the development tree. If you plan on taking a region that is high in fertility then focus that region on farming specifically. Starting out, yes your main village will have everyone doing a bit of everything. However, the moment you can, take a region that allows you to focus on something specific like mining or farming. Setup up a small village in that region with a Pack Station and send all those goods to the main village. This is when you can start converting all your workers doing these jobs in the main village over to artisans. Farming tends to be the easiest to initially set up like this.

I do find it pretty relaxing. (On EA release) The Work Camp upgrade to the Homeless Camp allows you to continue the 50% approval so that if you build at least one house during month one, you will have a new family move in during April. (month 2) I still build houses, now 6, then demolish the camp to get rid of the homeless icon. I'm pretty sure the homeless Icon that remains is tied to the level up Requirements for the Village, not approval. If I don't use the Work Camp, I loose approval for homelessness after April then no families move in until I get the houses built and the approval back up. This makes Family #6 move in during May instead of April. (month earlier new family is the short story) Love the idea about using a work camp for distant resources.

This made me not only a better person but a richer me and my civilians havn't been madder
  • Hi, I'm from Slovakia. My city had 100% satisfaction (I know, you just have to have 75%). I would welcome in the future rivers, lakes, seas - boats, fishing. Research points are going slow (at least for me), I had a problem to get to level 3 home for a long time. It's a shame that when I want to send resources from one region to another, I have to do something for something. Very slow to grow trees. I'm afraid I'll cut down all the trees on the map. :))

"The trading post information provided is quite useful. In my opinion, it's optimal to build your trading post near either your storage posts or the trading points situated at the edges of the map. Additionally, purchasing more than 2 horses isn't necessary. In the advanced tab, you'll notice that only 2 horses can be dedicated to one trading post. Personally, I haven't experienced any noticeable benefits after exceeding this limit. These horses are utilized for passive trade routes. Moreover, when unlocking a trading route for 25 coins, you as a Lord purchase both the guy and the cart. This investment is crucial for facilitating quick and plentiful export/import in your village. For those looking to trade food or clothing, remember this: Each villager consumes 1 unit of food per month, regardless of the type, and any clothing unit is utilized once a year per family. For instance, if a village has 121 houses and 153 families, with all at level 1, the monthly expense is 153 food units, regardless of variety. For level 2, it's 2 types, and for level 3, it's 3 types. Calculate your needs accordingly.

Awsome walkthrough and some amazing tips in there! I have about 30 hours in the game and I did not know about that "minus-sign"-thing when building houses, to make their backyards bigger. Definately gonna use that alot more. Thanks again!

I don't think I"ll play it again until more of it is developed. To see so much of the develpmetn tree, policies, etc "under development" I feel like if I really get into it now I'll just have to relearn everything again once it's more developed.

Farming seems to be small plots, with farm houses of 2-4 with oxen for each. Quicker farming and seeding, and when you have it up to speed, you can farm many small plots instead of one-2 big plots that may not be seeded/farmed in time.
