"Live in London" is a live album from Deep Purple. It was recorded on 22 May 1974 at Gaumont State in Kilburn by the BBC for radio broadcast, but was unreleased on vinyl until 1982. It features the Mk 3 lineup of Blackmore/Coverdale/Hughes/Lord/Paice during the tour for their album Burn.

Fantastic. Saw MK3 first time as a 15 year old teen with my one year younger brother on 23rd march 1975 in DORTMUNDER WESTFALENHALLE. We still have the original tickets. Ritchie shook a hand from me directly at stage. Never forget it. CHEERS ; - D

I saw Deep Purple 3 days before this gig was recorded. Good to have a recording that bears a close resemblance to what I witnessed at the time. Support band was Elf.

This was the first recording I ever heard of Deep Purple. I was 11 in 1982 and a friend played the cassette version to me. I was hooked instantly. Thanks for this great upload.

I have never heard this version. Awesome--maybe the best of them all. Lots of Blackmore mistakes large and small--which is fine. It's live rock. Great recovery and coverup of a mistaken climb by Blackmore at 4:25-4:32 or so. And another at 5:25 or so. He is going into the riff at the wrong time--two or three times. That was odd for him but these pros kept it together. Greatest opener ever. This song, when I first heard it, changed everything for me. Thanks for sharing.

Eu comprei esse vinil em 91 ou 92 num sebo, vim pra casa tenso pois a capa já dizia tudo. Quando coloquei o play para rolar tive uma experiência transedental. Peso, técnica, improviso e tudo pra ontem. Mk II é foda mas Mk III é lutar com o Mike Tyson.
