I decided to put our two babies out together on top of the Macaw playpen after morning feeding, and this was the result. So cute!!

For anyone wondering the Sun Conure wasn't pulling out the macaws feathers, baby birds have little sheathes around their new feathers it's kind of like the aglet at the end of a shoe lace. They fall off or chip off the feather. Its just preening him/her.
  • He’s just like “yes, this is my abnormally large child. I shall defend her with my life.”

I love this. The sun conure doesn't care that the baby macaw is bigger than him, he's just like, "This is a younger baby and I need to take of him." What a sweetie!

I find it hilariously adorable that the conure is smaller but older than the macaw

You can see his head feathers go up when he starts to pick his pin feathers
  • Absolutely adorable! I can just imagine the sun conure sighing and saying, “They grow up so fast!”

"are you gonna adopt him, Starburst?" Yeah I think that question is a little late there.

"Hello child that is 6 times bigger than me. I love you and you are my baby now."
  • @DragonLouie
I love how the conure is preening the macaw's chest so gently on the patchy feathers
  • "mum, why you so smoll?" "when you grow up you'll become smoll too kid"
