I'm 15 years old. my mother passed away in October. she used to watch your videos all the time, especially when i got home from school. watching these to this day feels so sentimental.. thank you Mr. Ballen!

Man, anytime MrBallen gushes about how awesome someone is, you know they're going to die horribly

For anyone wondering: he has been convicted of murder as well as a plethora of other crimes. They also ruled that Anthony tried to kill the daughters too. He’s been sentenced to 119 years
  • @JosephCee
I was very relieved to find out that at least the daughters were ok. I was already jumping to the conclusion that the woman had lost her entire family. Still horrible that she lost her husband.

Always frustrates me when someone who gives so much good to this world gets taken away by a person that does nothing but sponge and give misery

I have a friend who was at a campground in New Mexico when she was in elementary school. A man invaded the the group of camp girls and their chaperones, he un-alived many of them. My friend never really recovered from the trama. She said the military and local officials told the survivers to never talk about this to anyone ever. I'm amazed she told me, but she felt like that small bit of information she shared with me would get us both in trouble. Campgrounds are not safe. Too many people get un-alived or disappear.

The authorities absolutely should have let the public know of the other shootings. Such a horrible tragedy that was completely preventable. My heart goes out to Tristans family 💔
  • I always appreciate how he spends way more time on allowing us to know the victim than he does with the criminal.
  • Doctor Erica Wu was my wife's Gynecologist for our first born ~3 years ago, she is a very lovely lady and an incredible doctor. Honestly she is as intelligent as they come, you can feel the depth of knowledge behind each answer to your question. Was always so present despite what was going on in her personal life. We didn't know that this was going on at the time, we had a high-risk pregnancy and in retrospect it makes me appreciate her even more. Broke my heart when I heard of this story. We need far more people like Dr. Wu in this world.

I just realized what makes Mr. Ballen so interesting to me.. he tells the stories like he knows the subjects personally. It really brings you in. Thanks Mr. Ballen. ❤️

That is just so tragic. Picturing those little girl's crying, with the oldest still trying to comfort her sister is heartbreaking. What a strong little girl.

This story breaks my heart. Tristan and his wife sounded like a match in heaven. They deserved to grow old together surrounded by grandchildren. This happens where evil, criminal monsters are let out instead of staying put away forever.

I am retired ambulance officer, and also worked as a wardsman a long time ago. In the early days when having to deal with a dead person I would be pretty nervous. One senior peer told me that they are people that need help still. They might have died but they are just people that need help. It helped a lot to think like this for me especially when i had to carry a deceased child to the morgue. (It's not a body to me its a person that needs help still) I guess im trying to say by telling these peoples story you are helping them/their family.
  • I’m 22 and my dad passed away 4 months ago and he would love to sit down every Friday after work and have a marathon watching your videos. Now that every Friday I continue this tradition with my son
  • @Turtlecat911
Omg I can’t imagine how Erica feels. That’s so much trauma. Everything has been taken from this poor women.
  • @hbk2377
True crime doesn’t usually get to me emotionally, but man, the thought of those two babies crying in a pool of their dad’s blood has me in tears, how truly heartbreaking
  • The sad thing about this story is that if they had stayed at the first location, this man would still be alive today. Fate sometimes can play a cruel hand.
  • @ma53jg
Tristan seemed like such a thoughtful, kind man. My heart goes out to his family, friends & all those in his life who will miss him.
  • @ms-rachel-anne
The description of Tristan playing in the waves with his girls on father's day brought tears to my eyes because of how wholesome and sweet it was. That's the best kind of parent. And I loved how John was totally lit up while telling it; you can tell he relates to that loving dad energy, which is lovely and precious.
