Joan Crawford, Cliff Robertson, and many other great past actors, plus the great Nat Cole singing the title song, Wow! What a wonderful movie to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

It's amazing how Joan Crawford had the ability to look beautiful in one movie and wicked in another. Shows what a brilliant actress she was. Also feminine and then masculine. She truly was a beautiful looking woman. The time when men looked smartly dressed and women looked glamorous without revealing too much. A lovely movie which I never tire of watching. Nat King Cole was one of my late Mothers favourites and was played to us as children in the late 50s and 60s,70s and 80s. Those were the days.

Judith Moore This is one of my favourite films. Joan Crawford is brilliant. These older movies are so full of human tenderness, romance and simply good stories. Nothing today has any decency, humanity, glamour of romance. A very sad state for entertainment.

This movie should be dedicated to all women with younger significant others. Mine was nine years younger than me and we had so much fun together. Sadly, he wouldn't or couldn't give up drugs and alcohol and his demons finally got too much for him in the end. He committed suicide four years ago on April 28 just two days after his birthday. This movie reminds me so much of him and brings back so many good memories.

Oh, that kiss on the beach ... you can feel their loneliness fading. There were several touching moments like this that made my heart skip a beat.

I was born too late. I wish I had seen Cliff Robinson when he was a young man. But then again, I still wouldn't have known him. Boy, he was something in this movie.

I had only seen this movie once, a very long time ago. Forgotten how good it was. Goes to show Mental Health has been an issue in our society always.

Joan Crawford played her part in this movie so fantastically, she had that look and ability. Cliff Robertson eventually played very similar rolls in other movies too. The story is so real and psychologically touching that it could happen to anybody at any time in his or her life,.

Cliff Roberson and Joan nailed it, if it was a bad chemistry and cast the film wouldn't of worked, good director too

I love the scene where Joan is seated in the concert hall ---- alone--- listening to the beautiful music, and then getting lost in reverie as she recalls sacrificing her youth in service to her ailing father. The sad, tragic look on her face says more about loss and loneliness than any words possibly could. What an amazing, fantastic actress she was!!!
