I feel like whatever TF Disney adult is, is an outlet. A way to enjoy yourself through the chaos. Some people have anime, others have books, cosplay, music, whatever. It’s a hobby or something they enjoy doing. They still love the magic of Disney like they did as a kid. I don’t see the harm in it or why it bugs people so much!
  • I hate how once we are adults we're apparently not supposed to have fun anymore like, why? I'm sorry I'll be over here living my best life and doing what makes me happy thank you. (I'm not a Disney adult but I'm an adult gamer and I collect video games, 90s toys, anime figures and Pokémon cards).

Why doesn't Anthony call us his Padildos any more?

For those who say “Disney should be left in childhood” and “Disney Adults should grow up” should remember not everyone was fortunate enough to grow up with Disney. Many didn’t have the opportunity to watch much Disney or have any merchandise as children, but now that they’re older, they can afford and enjoy it. So let Disney Adults enjoy Disney! Also, Disney isn’t laser-focused on children. There are plenty of shows Disney owns that aren’t for young audiences. Even in Disneyland, there are food and wine celebrations for the adults.

Im not sure they understood what disposable income is, you can work hard for the money and still have disposable income, in fact thats exactly how you get disposable income, inherited money isn't really income. To say you don't have disposable income but then flaunt a bag collection implies you think the bags are essential - which I'm sure these people don't believe, they just misunderstood the question.

Disney adults are no different than any other adults that like a things that are generally seen as "for kids." Video games, theme parks, super hero movies, comics, tabletop games, anime, and more are just things that a small, out of touch sect of people see as being "just for kids." Are there annoying Disney fans? Totally, the same way there are annoying fans of all the things I previously listed. I don't think it's especially healthy to wrap your entire identity around a consumer product, but again there are extreme cases for any of the areas I mentioned. Full disclosure, I have very little interest in anything Disney, but I'm certainly a fan of tabletop games, video games, etc. No one has ever called me a "gamer adult" or "DnD adult." That's weird.
  • @steve94183
I never understood why people get so weird about Disney adults. Just let people enjoy themselves if they're not hurting anyone.
  • @cineful
The 'Disney Adult' hate is so old. Ppl just yappin' at this point.
  • I used to try to fit in with the "Disney Adults" because I was just looking for a wholesome community after leaving the church until I found the "Spooky People" which I think is more me. It has nothing to do with my childhood (which was fine) or mental health (which isn't fine but nobody's perfect, right?).

I think loving Disney as an adult is harmless. Lots of people nowadays are obsessed with video games and anime/manga and wear it all over or decorate their home with it. And a lot of people just have singular interests or are super hyped about what they love because they got a lot of value out of their life from it. I don’t give a shit about sports but I don’t think all sports fans are all the same kind of person or that sports suck because they’re everywhere.
  • She said their not taking it that seriously, and the people in the room aren’t but Disney adult is usually describing the Disney fans that DO TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY, that’s the distinction that has disappeared over the last few years
  • @moira329
I think I might be a Disney Adult, and I find the park way more enjoyable as an adult than I ever did as a kid. I’ve learned to stand in line and wait my turn. When I went in September I overheard a parent say the kids should meet Baymax before adults, and I was thinking that is how you get entitled kids. Trust me I’m going to take less time to meet Baymax than your 5 year old. I just want to feel the costume and take a cool photo with my favorite Marvel character.
  • Gosh, people aren't even allowed to have a hobby these days without others being small minded bullies.
  • @gloomy_gal
I always find it so irritating hating on something someone loves. As a little kid i did that and now im left hobby-less struggling to find something i actually love. Dont hate on other's things just because they're weird to you. Its really sad to see people so empty emotionally that they feel morally right hating on someone giving them insecurities, self hate, and leaving them questioning what they even enjoy. Someone will prey on them and theyll end up in a to of hurt. We should be making people happy and building them up. Not tearing them down for enjoying their life. Spread positivity. Not hate. ❤
  • @Jojorabbit73
Ok but they literally do have disposable income. What else is a huge collection of Disney shit besides “disposable income”. It doesn’t mean you’re rich, it just means you have more income than you need to live.
  • @justadrian56
It’s a crime Brittany Broski wasn’t in this episode
  • The lady's argument about how there is always room for improvement makes no sense. Yes every company can be better, but certian things are requirements. You can't just do evil stuff and say, "Welp, there is always room for improvment, nobody's perfect."
  • @messa432
I’m watching this after visiting Disney for the first time I’m 27 and had a BLAST😁
  • @ummwhat2631
This inspired me to want to be more in tune with the things I enjoy. Be it my favorite bands, games, cartoons.. They are timeless!
