⭐ "Gone With The Tide" is a song I started to devellop from an unused motif
from a previous writing session.
The funny part is that the writing session in question never reached satisfying results... but this leftover motif was fully develloped into this song that I love very much !

  • It starts with the piano, The long, rolling tone of the erhu, and the violin playing a very sad melody. It's a sad melody, but it's the dynamic of a loved one. Thank you for the beautiful song🙂

The black and white slow motion imagery and the music create a sense of timelessness.

Beautiful music with a sad story. The old man goes back to the sea to leave the locket of the young woman he loved once and lost. She is forever gone and he finally gives her back to the ocean she loved. She floats on the tides of his memory. The visuals on this were stunning and peaceful. Bravo, Eliot and Victor. A very moving masterpiece. 👏💔🌊

This is one of the best Tordo originals I've listened to. It's a nice change of pace from an Eastern Erhu musical approach to this more of a dynamic Western style. The swelling strings with the lyrical solo violin is amazing! Great job Elliott and Victor!
  • What a great composition🥰! It is trully great! 🤩And Victor's playing his violin is wonderful! 👏👏👏 About the filming: all the details breathed in with emotions, like the gulls soaring, the lighthouse, the waves crashing, the sea shimmering like silver, the gray scenes, and the actors, leaving room for interpretation, I loved it. I imagined that the young woman must have been the man' s love from long ago, who loved to come by the sea. For some unknown reason, she left his life, maybe she went away, maybe she died; and after so much time,he brings her necklace to the place she loved most, and somehow ends a chapter. Could have been his daughter too, who died young, but the love story appeals to me more 😜. The vastness of the sea, made me wonder, how many people stare at its horizon, thinking of someone who is never coming back. It was such a nice way to start the day. 😊
  • Victor you are a great master, the violin in your hands comes to life and inebriates the soul of those who listen to you.. Congratulations for such an emotional interpretation...It brought tears to my eyes 🎻

This song describes what it feels like when you can't see the Magnus. You check left and right, up and down, behind doors, below laundry basket lids, beneath the carpet and even the bathroom but he is not there. Beautiful recapturing of this phenomenon!

So beautiful.. haunting. The imagery is powerful too. I don’t normally comment on a personal level.. But I especially relate in a unique way as this week I farewelled a friend who decided to cut me out of their life. There’s a sense of losing something to the tide of life, being separated on distant shores. But like all cycles of life, the tide that goes out will also return and it will bring with it new treasures to discover. So if you’re down and out and you’ve taken heavy losses.. know that a new tide will come in, the landscape of your life will change and new hope will dawn. To an ending there is always a new beginning. Peace 🌻

  • Elliott, I was left speechless listening to this masterpiece... so infinitely sad and poignant as only the sound of the violin blending with the impetuous sea can be...🌊🌊

This is stunning! The melody the swell and rise of the music matching perfectly with the waves crashing on the shore, this is evocative, hauntingly beautiful, and so very moving! The power of music is beyond words. It takes you to a whole other world. This is now one of my new favourite tracks by you, Eliott!
