I used to make wedding cakes 20 years ago. Techniques have really changed and I'm excited to try your method. Its a much easier flower than a piped rose. Thank you for sharing.

  • I love this Video... So what you're saying is I can Bake the Cupcakes the NIGHT before and then the next morning I can Frost them... (Please say "yes") this will help me so much. Thank you for sharing this GREAT Video.

Oh, thank you baby Jesus! 😅 I have been searching high and low to find out how to do a similar stripe for icing ever since I first saw it on the British Bake Off show on BBC. I assumed it had something to do with putting different amounts of color in the piping bag but was hoping to get some professional guidance. And here it is. 🌺🏅

Great tips about piping slowly and holding the tip in the air, not touching the petals already piped. Thank you!
  • Love this tip! I keep extra unfrosted cupcakes in the freezer till ready to use, just never thought about using the freezer technique for frosting the cakes! Genius; just decorated some cupcakes w my granddaughter, and the weather was so warm, this trick will be appreciated! Also, will remember to do the bottom, thin layer of frosting as well. Thank you!
