My buddy Wes loves to explore deep into the outdoors. So when he calls saying that his truck broke down, I know it's going to be an adventure!

Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

  • That is a Mountain Bluebird, not a jay. That is typical of their behavior. Western Bluebirds are notorious for the same. Loved the video.

Casey, your HVAC fan resistor cooked (or cooked something) on the 'low' setting. When you switched to a higher setting the low/high resistance portion was taken out of the circuit, hence, no more smoke.

"The last pavement for a long time." What a wonderful sentence.

Imagine driving over 3 hrs and backing up a dirt road to help a friend. Wow Casey you are the best friend ever. Not many would do that. An amazing journey never the less.
  • 💙🇺🇲 Pictographs are drawings, Petroglyphs are carvings into the patina or varnish of the rock. 😊 Thanx guys for the beautiful trip up onto the mountain and the great narrations that went along with it!!!
  • Jeremy was correct. Petroglyphs are scratched into the rock. Pictographs are painted onto the rock. Where were the dogs riding? Did they not get to run through the forest with you on your exploration jaunts?

Casey, excellent backing up skills after three hours of driving!
  • This is a very good one! Dare I say: old fashioned; waited a long time for a story like this one again - and it was worth the wait.

Cow to calf: " Do NOT talk to strange humans!"😆😆 Super beautiful scenery up on that mountain!!! Looking down into the valley is awesome!!

I checked the oil in my Duramax before towing a heavy load across Pennsylvania. Climbing up the mountain on the Northeast Extension of the Pa Turnpike smoke started rolling out of my defrosters, pulled over and opened the hood and I had fire coming out between the motor and the firewall. Put it out with a bottle of water and discovered that when I checked the oil there were a bunch of maple seeds piled up on the cowl and when opened the hood they dumped down behind the engine. Pulling the hill the turbo must have gotten hot enough to ignite them. The fire didn’t hurt anything and I cleaned the seeds out, the truck started and ran fine. Lesson learned, watch for seeds and leaves falling down when opening the hood. The funny thing is I saw them come in like a waterfall but never thought anything about it!

Sorry Casey, I had to pause the video, I needed to go to Habor Freight for a socket set. I'll be back

The large fenced in area is a corral where they kept the cattle until they were all rounded up and that smaller logged in area inside the larger corral would have most likely been where the cowboys kept their horses at night. The old wood flume was actually long watering trough so the amount of cattle being held while the cowboys rounded up the rest of the cattle would all have access to water during their few days stay.

Thank you for taking us along Casey, this was beautiful! Also, check your trucks blower motor resistor.
  • @SuperPirate100
Wonderful scenery, thanks for taking us along for the ride

That's an awesome spot. Can't believe they get a propane truck up there to fill that tank.

Winter Rim is one of my favorite places. I usually time my visits around lunch time, so I can sit on the rim and enjoy the view while eating lunch.

Fremont Point Cabin overlooking Summer Lake looks like a great place to chill.

Petroglyphs are carved, pictographs are painted. Also, "glyph" and "graph" are phonemes, so they can be used semi-interchangeably and still make sense. (I majored in archaeology and minored in linguistics in college)

Eastern Oregon and Washington are the most scenic areas, mountains, valleys, high desert, forests, scab lands, plains, big rivers, lakes of every size, and the list goes on and on, I'm in Okanogan Co. , NE WA, 20 miles from Canada
