MUST WATCH!!! I GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR!!!

(3-15-2019) Now..., this was quite the adventure, LOL! I wanted to take a couple rides on these old Haughton elevators, as they are about to get modernized by Schindler soon; and yes, I am going to try my best to get parts from them, too! Now to the story of what happened. I had already rode from the concourse level and up to 26 twice, and when it arrived back down at concourse, AFTER my second ride, the doors wouldn't open, even AFTER I pressed door open a couple times. Instead of the doors opening, it kept on going back up to 26 from the concourse a few times, and when it hit floors 13-14, it started bouncing up and down, and wouldn't move for about 2 minutes. After all of this craziness, it finally decided to back down towards the concourse, and the doors didn't open again for some reason. Then, it FINALLY takes me back up to 26, and lets me out... I then go back down on one of the other elevators, even though they were a little boring..., but at least they wouldn't get stuck and almost make me have a heart attack... LOL. With that all being said, I hope you guys enjoy watching this video. :)

    These have clearly been neglected and the controllers are obviously very messed up...... Such a shame to see such an awesome elevator system end up like this....

    I HATE elevators sooo much!! If I ever got stuck in one I would be soo scared 😱! I would start freaking out!! I would cry 😢 because elevators are my worst fear!! Especially if the cable snapped!! Oh and how were you so calm??

    Wow! Now that is scary! I would probably have a panic attack if I was in an elevator that went down then went back up with that many floors.

    Those squeaks don't sound promising. If I rode those in person, I'd probably get off after one ride. The cause of the elevator doing that bizarre behavior is that the elevator either lost position, or the relays were malfunctioning.

    You weren't stuck, it just had a controller glitch. Welcome to old relay logic, particularly when not kept up so well.

    Update. As of September 2019 the elevator on the left is no longer original. :( It was modded by Schindler with MAD BS fixtures, and put on a 6400NA control system, which means the good ole Haughton relay logic system is gone. :( I tried getting parts from Chase, but had no luck in doing so... which to me, sucks, as these were my favorite elevators that went over 1,000 fpm and over 20 stories. That said, hopefully all of you guys that once rode these beauties see this comment, because I know several people who really enjoyed these elevators, myself included. :(

    I got stuck in an elevator too! I wanted to press a button that it leads to the first floor but it din'nt work.

    Construction workers probably started mashing on the call button at 26 so you came back up from C to 26, lol.
