Watching his promos Dusty could've been a preacher, a politician, but I'm glad he was a pro wrestler.

This...this brought me to tears. DDP, Dustys crying in heaven, cuz hes hearing this from beyond. You honored him in a way that would make any man cry.
  • Wow, thank you Diamond Dallas Page for a very touching tribute.  When I was growing up as a kid, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes was my favorite wrestler.  He was a true icon and legend. When I got the news he had passed I was sitting at my desk at work and I had to take a moment and just sit, because it hit me.  A piece of my childhood was gone.  RIP big Dust, a true legend and icon  The American Dream Dusty Rhodes, "the bull of the woods if you will."

Dusty had the common touch. He was his persona. Dusty was real. No marketing BS. Just a real guy from Texas doing his best at his business and showing the love and respect he had for us.

He wined and dined with kings and queens! And slept in an alley and dined on pork n beans! Gone but never forgotten!! And like Dallas, I truly believe that he has gone to that big squared circle in the sky! Love ya Dust'!!

I cant watch this with out crying. Ive watched WWF/WWE for most my life. When someone from wrestling passes on I feel I lost a peace of my childhood. Thank you DDP for being such a good guy and a roll model.

I wasn't a family member of Dusty's, a friend, nor even a colleague. But I was a fan. While I will never not know secrets or stories that I won't be able to share about him, and I can say he entertained me. He put a smile on my face with his matches against Flair or when he teamed up with Nikita Koloff. I will miss you tremendous!

Ill be honest. i have never really cried at tributes...but this one...i shed a tear. Dusty was so much more then a gimmick on TV. He touched our hearts. Heaven has a hell of a roster.
  • @wizardelite

this is how to give a tribute...great one DDP
  • Those same words, same thoughts, same feelings, and same emotions tonight at the Hall of Fame that you Dallas tore through my heart. No other loss of talent in Wrestling has ever impacted me emotionally than the day Dusty crossed that river to the other side. Tonight April 1st, 2017 was 50/50 of tears and laughter. Tears for the memories of those who are gone but shall never be forgotten, and laughter over the good times. Tonight was the most powerful WWF/WWE HALL OF FAME that I have ever seen. A whole lot of spiritual movement in the house if you know what I mean. I'll never forget tonight.
