Hi Mike. Great job. I believe. With that shale like soil. There "SHOULD'NT" any soft spots. However. Will see the outcome of next year's spring thaw. We had 4 types of clay in our past Upstate N.Y house of 25 yrs. We mixed 5 yrs old manure w/ sawdust/ wood shavings to our garden plot. This reminded me of dark brown peat moss. It broke up the clay nicely. The clay & 2b limestone on our Vermont road. It help build up our main long driveway/ mailbox landing. I had serious driveway water erosion. Due to summer's heavy thunderstorms. I made a 9 inch wide sway 20 feet up our main driveway. It worked beautifully. The driveway held up for 15 yrs. A lot of manual work.
