BELON: The Next Chapter

Published 2021-06-04
Five years ago, when the neo-Parisian restaurant first opened on Elgin Street, Founders Syed Asim Hussain and Christopher Mark embarked on a journey of their own, their first venture into a new kind of dining experience. Back in February, BELON closed its doors on its inaugural home and has since reopened in an elegant, elevated space designed by Joyce Wang Studio. At the helm is Chef Matthew Kirkley, who, for the first time in his career, will be working in a restaurant that is unapologetically French, where he can present exquisitely executed classically-minded cuisine.

Having carved out its spot as a preeminent dining destination in Asia, Chris, Asim, and the team are looking forward to achieving new heights as they embark on the next chapter in the book of BELON.

I think some of the kudos should go to Daniel Calvert.
  • Some of these chefs have undiagnosed ocds , yet they are left to get on with it, the bottom line is adding all kinds of micro elements does not improve the dishes even though they may think it does .
