So, if I understand correctly, taxi operators are protesting that the fines for breaking the law are excessively high and negatively impacting their income. But wouldn't adhering to the law mitigate this issue entirely?

Taxi operators that are gangsters and criminals =the complaints. But the FEW honest taxi drivers are not complaining because they follow the rules. Enough taxi drivers are just using their vehicles for criminal activity. THEY NEED TO AUDIT EVERYONE LICENSE TO CHECK HOW MANY CAN READ/WRITE vs just paying for their license and putting passengers lives in danger. Jamaica law abiding citizens just seem to want law abiding taxi drivers❤❤

How in the hell does the taxi driver have tickets enough to make a sci-fi book? Seem as though some of these taxi drivers feel like they can bully the government to give them special treatment. What about the other drivers who have to pay their fines for traffic infractions? If tickets are not legally issued; fight it in court.

Just know its two sides to the story;the taxi operators need to be more disciplined and careful with people lives and respect the law,on the other hand the government need to stop taking advantage of the taxi operators to get money to make up the budget. 😢
