10qt PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Oven 4lb Rotisserie Chicken
*I would play with the rotisserie spit with no meat on it to get comfortable putting it on and getting it to turn!! the motor is on the left side, so get it in that side nice & good.
*make sure the bird is in the middle of the spit as best as u can, AND MAKE SURE ITS SECURE & TIGHT!
*Let marinade for at least 30min
**4lb MAX (must tie/trust bird)
375 for 45min and let rest for 15min
***In my experience with this, I wouldn't bother seasoning the cavity because you don't get much flavor from it when air frying, thats why I went crazy in the video as a test lol I barely could taste what I dumped in 🤷🏾‍♂️ so focus on the outside & try to season under the skin if you can

I gave you a thumb up for just explaining how the skewers work alone. 👍🏾👍🏾

Nice video. I also tried this using an almost 6lb chicken but recommend to everyone staying close to 5.5 or less. Two things I learned, 1st- the skewer has an indentation (dimple) on each side to set the screw to prevent sliding. 2nd- when placing the skewer in the oven, the book says to slightly lift the right side (with the supplied tool) so that the left side can slide into the motor, and then reversing when removing. The chicken came out so juicy and tasty that even the left overs remained that way. Thanks for making this video, I hope everyone try’s it!! Power up!
  • When it comes to the drip pan I wrap mine with heavy duty aluminum foil and when I'm done take it off and you don't even have to clean it.
  • I needed a good walk through for how to set the whole rotisserie contraption up. Found your video, and just threw my chicken in to marinate. Thanks!
  • Thank you for a simple and detailed explanation on how to actually put the chicken in. The instruction I got were non existent! Thanks for you time. Honestly this makes the best chicken. Love it

That chicken looked amazing, even before you cooked it. Very well presented video. 3 thumbs up.

I’m glad you did this! I’ve been super intimidated to use the rotisserie , but I feel better now. Thanks!

You saved my Christmas with this video Doug!! I just bought an air fryer with a rotisserie and there were no instructions on how to do this.
  • @tluvly66
I just purchased this air fryer based off of your likeness and I must say I'm Not disappointed at all....
  • I am very happy with the Cosori Air Fryer. It's the perfect size for the two of us. I like the fact there's very little oil being used - that helps with cooking a bit healthier youtube.com/post/UgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00q… for the two of us. The biggest tip is do not put parchment paper - the pre-cuts are very nice - in the basket during the pre-heat setting. You will catch it on fire. Also use Avocado Oil if you're using oil. It has a high smoke point to it. YouTube has been great with finding recipes for the Air Fryer.

I use the foil sheets; makes clean up easy. Thanks for the demo!

  • @joeyzuber117
I've got one of these and I could not figure out how to get it to turn with the rotisserie setting. I'm glad this guy said to jam it in there because that's the only way I didn't feel like I got ripped off cuz now I have rotating french fries LOL

Thank you @CookingWithDoug for this video. It is by far the BEST video I have found of a rotisserie chicken. You showed so much detail for a newbie. To aide in cleanup, I saw in a video on TT, to put foil on the bottom tray. It really helps! I will definately be watching more of your vids. Thanx again!!
  • @muneca913

  • @gailb861
OMG!!! I feel very silly but I'm so glad I watched this because I didn't know what the u-shaped thingy was. I had it in the utensil graveyard but you use it to life the baskets or spit! Thank you, Doug!!!
