Large, arched leaning mirrors on either side of the fireplace would be beautiful if you don’t end up putting tall windows there. I think sofas with taller backs would be nice, too. You could always go darker with the upholstery but also have white cotton slipcovers made for them, too. Then you have options. Your home is beautiful and you’re making it more “you” with each video you share.

Pull out a color from the rug for your couch color. I did a tweed fabric in browns, creams and tans, it’s beautiful and goes with all the holiday decor. I also had them use “extra firm” foam in the cushions! Plus, the sofa style is a “tight back” so no slumping, back pillows that ALWAYS need fluffing. The only fluffing I do is the accent pillows😘. I Love it!

I love that you don’t share your kids on your channel. I don’t like when YouTubers do that, especially as they get older. But any age is just not right because they don’t understand the long term consequences. Good for you. You are such a hardworking, loving and wonderful mother and homemaker.

I found your channel when looking for new (to me) decor channels. I loved your Victorian and your classic, traditional style. When you moved into this house, though it is a great house, no doubt, it just didn’t feel like you. It seemed like you were not truly in love with it but I can see now you are making it yours. All of the newest things you’re doing look fantastic and you seem happier with it. French country/Provençal is definitely a fantastic way to go to incorporate the things you love. Love to see these decorating videos! They’re my favorite!

I think your living room looks pretty, love the greens! If it were me, I’d put my piano in that room and then have one or two cozy conversation areas with a couple of chairs and a small table. I know pianos aren’t for everyone but maybe there is some other thing you could feature in there instead of couches since you have a family room for hanging out?

Lauren, possible you could take wall down between large living room and kitchen, so you could have more room for family. I would push kitchen sink area to your now eating area and then have what is your smaller living area as sorta "keeping room with fireplace with a couple of chairs...just a thought..still love the horses!
