Jim Carrey was definitely one of the funniest and consistent actors of all time. He made tons of movies and nearly all of them were pure gold. Glad I got the chance in life to grow up in the 90s with comedic talent like his.

For the first 4 minutes David Letterman was just sort of in a auto-pilot interviewer mode, doing the polite laughs at Jim Carey's jokes, but when Jim started doing the Broderick Crawford bit, it totally struck a chord with Letterman. You could see his demeanor change and his laughter was genuine. Watching him riff with Jim doing the impersonation was awesome to watch.
  • Jim Carrey was just such a movie giant in the 90s. You couldn’t go just about anywhere without eventually him being brought up. Even at school, other kids would talk about him.

Often taken for granted. Jim Carey is a living legend; we are lucky to have him.

Literally the only person that could ever match Jim Carey’s energy was Robin Williams. I miss the guy.

The beauty of Jim Carrey's personality is that he carries his roots with him all the time. He never forgets where he came from. That's priceless.

This was the time when Jim was like The Elvis or Beatles of comedy. He was everywhere and he was brilliant each time you saw him, with tons of charisma. He made it and now, interestingly, he has walked in a more spiritual direction. I loved him then and I love him now- one of the greats!

I have never seen anyone try to match Jim's voices. this is why Dave was king of late night. he was totally unfazed by the talent of others, but appreciated them none the less.
  • @defonten
What a pure burst of energy and positivity Jim is!

That guy is pure raw talent, a total natural. To have that level of comedy requires incredible incite into the human condition. He's just got it.

Such an incredible talent. So glad I grew up with his movies

My favorite part of being a kid in the 90's! His mannerisms are cemented in to my mind hahahah
  • I always appreciated when Dave genuinely enjoyed someone. You can tell he liked Jim a lot
  • @TheBehm08
I loved the two of them doing the impression back and forth. Nobody can get Dave to act like that quite like Jim Carey
  • When all is said and done Jim Carrey in the 90s might be the most successful comedic run of any actor in film history. Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrel and others aside, not many can claim to be anywhere near opening #1 as many times or having as many comedies surpass $100 million (those days may be gone forever). Viva la Jim!
  • @rahard
I love how Jim made Dave laugh and they laugh together
  • He's the most sane and truthful comedian I experienced over twenty years.
