My girls helped to clean out and organize their great grandma’s pantry this summer. Oatmeal from 1952 was the oldest item 😂. My 12 year old took photo proof because she didn’t think we’d believe her!

When you're pulling back your hair or tying it up.... you know things are about to get real.. 😊 in the organizing and cleaning department.

When we cleaned out my grandmother’s pantry we found an unopened box of strawberry jello from 1957! So that means that box moved from Cleveland, OH to White Pine, TN to Centerville, OH!

OH. MY. GOSH. Amanda this is FABULOUS! Wow! It turned out aaaamazing! Honestly, it looks like a professional created this for you. And I’ll add, anything that you cannot reseal 100% you should put in a air-tight container. I have actually gotten Boll weevils from flour through my pantry and into my spices. Even the bags that were rolled tightly at the top and clipped with a chip clip. It was such a mess. I had to throw everything out. And clean the entire pantry and spice cupboard. Now everything is in big glass jars and air tight containers. If I can’t reseal packaging with a “factory seal” I put it in a bug proof container. So now all your flours and sugars and oatmeal and cream of wheat is safe and protected from air and insects. And that’s what we really want! This must feel like a huge weight off your shoulders to get that project out of the way! Now go and relax and enjoy the end result!

And remember - add a shelf above the door! It's wasted space and extra TP or Paper towels can go there!

When I turned 18 years old, I started cleaning a house of some guy my dad knew. There were cans in the pantry that were from 1989. It was 2011 that year....

Amanda, WOW! Just WOW! The pantry looked tiny, now it looks like it holds a ton of food.

This wasn’t in our pantry, but when cleaning out the freezer in our basement last week, I found a frozen bacardi mixer that was best used by 2000! Do I win an award for this? 🤣🤣🤣

When my grandpa passed away in 2013, I helped clean out his apartment. We didn't find any expired dry goods or perishables other than a few spices. These old McCormick tins had to be from the 60s-70s which means they came with Grandma and Grandpa when they moved from the farm to their big house in town and then again when they moved into the apartment!! There was still spices in the tins and it still smelled like what they should, but still I was amazed.

I’m so happy to see you wash the clear containers!! So many gals just remove the labels and fill ‘em right up!!!😱

Get day light light bulbs it will really brighten your pantry up. Normal light bulbs always leave a yellowish tint. It’s well worth it! Great job you always do so well with any space you makeover ❤️

A few years ago, I helped my mom clean & declutter her kitchen. It’s definitely in my DNA to be super organized but not hers. Lol. I found a spice bottle of cinnamon that expired in 1990, and several bottles of Adams food coloring we used to make different colors of homemade icing for Christmas cookies in the early 1990s when we were kids. I’m 36 now. We had a good laugh and shared some memories.

This was done so creatively with a lot of thought! A lot of pantry organization videos I've seen -- most people take out the wire shelving and do a custom shelving unit throughout the entire pantry which can be very expensive. I love that you took what you already had and just added onto it, and then also refreshed it with paint and new lighting! I also love that your organization bins are all affordable and easy to find as well! Bravo! ❤❤❤

When you were painting the boys room, I wanted to mention the painting trick, but figured y'all knew it. But yea, the W is to help distribute paint when you go back over so less dipping into more paint.

I would add more shelves on the left wall, maybe high up to store additional pantry staples. Kind of a back up for the everyday pantry. Ever since the shortages last year I always think of back up everything. Just a thought.
