Eternal sunshine was an immediate favorite to me too! And yes you're so right, 'true story' absolutely is aimed at the public. And so is 'we can't be friends', that was basically confirmed in a behind the scenes video for the music video.

I think u are in the right, True Story is about the general public. It’s all about the false narrative they love to create and fantasize about her. “gimme love” “this is not what i want, not what i need” to me it’s very obvious how painful this is for her. Also you can hear the pain in her voice when she is belting at the end of the song. Such a great piece. ♥️

Songs from true story to we can't be friends (wait for your love) are for the public if you pay attention to lyrics. She said that you can interpret the we can't be friends the way you want or in any way you can relate to it. Her best album. Thank you next is mork dark type vibe and it is more chill. Still can't choose my top 5 after all these days and it totally worth the wait. Her tone is so good in here her annunciation has improved a lot. I really don't think some1 needs to be dragged for their personal lyf. We will never get to know the truth. There are always three sides to a story. She was dragged insanely bad and for what nothing. She is again doing really good professionally. Almost everyone is loving the album. We can't be friends pulling 9+ million streams so that explains a lot.
