Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

We've handpicked the absolute best videos of the month just for you – get ready to be wowed!!
  • If they’re going to take their dogs on the boats in those waters, they need to put life jackets on them. Like bright orange so they can be seen and rescued if they go overboard.

These vids are addicting. These knuckleheads making me feel like Einstein. 😂😂
  • @stilltuckered
It never ceases to amaze me how many people are not wearing their life vests and how many kids, do not. Smh

Rule of boating in rough seas....if the waves are taller then the bow of your boat come about.....never let a trailing wake over take you, if you own an inboard don't take water over the bow it may flood out your engine below deck, always make sure lines are secure and children have life jackets on and finally boating should be fun, not getting banged around
  • When I was a kid and young adult my father had a boat and his rule was "no life jacket, no boat ride". Some of these people are ridiculous; but then again you can't fix stupid.
  • @Strutingeagle
Thems Cigarette boat fellas looked like the mafia enjoying a day off from breaking legs and what not.
  • Always a great show from the more dollars than sense crowd. I love all the smiles and laughter, yet they'll be crying on TV when one of their pals gets knocked out and tossed over to drown, all because they're too cool for a PFD. That inlet ain't got a conscience or preference for who it teaches a lesson to.

It's amazing how these parents don't put life jackets on their kids or themselves - especially in these crazy waters
  • 1:04 The boat on the Columbia River bar was stolen from the port of Astoria and the "captain" was fleeing capture when he attempted to cross the bar to evade the coast guard. The bar was doing what the CR bar does and he got in way too far over his head. He was apprehended (rescued) and prosecuted. But great video none the less. If anyone is curious what the most dangerous river bar in the US, if not the world, looks like. There it is.
  • The people and children I see on these not wearing life jackets in those conditions is mind boggling.
  • @Haraldsvensk
I'm surprised even the kids aren't wearing life jackets. It is irresponsible of the parents. Greeting from Sweden.
  • Question: "Why would you go out under these conditions?" Answer: "What is Florida for $100, Alex."

Lines caught in propeller(s) can Stop motors. Get caught in Haulover or Boca Inlets, in the slop with No Power, you'll most likely turn abeam to the seas and broach or go all the way over and capsize, 180° or roll over completely, 360°.

Call me a baby. But whenever I take my family boating or when with friends, safety is the most important thing to me. I do not want anyone to get injured. Therefore I would rather drive an extra hour to launch my boat in much calmer waters than risk somebody getting hurt and or destroying the boat. No way would I launch it here with the water like that. Some people are crazy.
  • @Tjmcna
So the guy the rescue swimmer saved was not the owner. He was in the country illegally and stole the boat! Luckily the coast guard was already on site training and no one was injured during the rescue.
