For 1.16 keep the redstone dust as a cross
If you want the top to be sync make the top obs redstone instead and put redstone on top of the furnaces

Works like a charm, I was playing with a mod pack and I didn't know one of the mods make furnaces moveable so swapped em out for obsidian like you said in the video and that solved that issue. Thanks a lot π
