The Adams must surely be THE most powerful British gang EVER! They had the criminal sense to keep their heads down unless absolutely necessary, usually to prove a point that can only be done heavy. The fact is that even today, we still know next to nothing concrete about them. Top draw for sure!

It's strange how many of the crime families in British cities have Irish backgrounds.

The most successful crime family of the last few hundred years. They’re leagues above the Krays and the famous ‘gangsters’. They used their fellow Irish gangsters and Jamaican enforcers as needed while operating like a corporation. Never sought publicity like the Krays. Now it’s the turn of the Turkish and Albanians but with the technology police have today it’s just a whole new world

Terry never smoked cigarettes. Most of the violence was bcos of people not paying for drugs given on bail, not with other gangs, who wouldn't take them on. That wasn't Terry on the so called hidden audio tape. His words but not his voice.

i remember years ago the press couldnt name who took photos of Adams because he would frighten them. So if there was a story in the paper i mean, they wouldnt name the photographer. Used to have to take them through long lens from distance too.

At least the Adams family like other crime families and villains back then would only dish out violence to other criminals which was and still is an occupational hazard. Today's gangs and criminals are brutal and nobody is safe and if you dare ring the police your a grass where as back in the day the law was there to protect straight goers and they accepted that!
